I vaguely remember an episode of an old western (maybe Big Valley?) with a court scene. The Chinese witness offered to swear on a stack of Bibles. The attorney, knowing the witness was a Buddhist, offered to let him swear on, IIRC, a dead chicken or some such thing. I wonder if this show by BO is along the same lines? IE, doesn’t matter how many Bibles he uses if he does not believe in the power of the one true God.

Martin Luther King, Jr. would be appalled at what Obama’s policies and rhetoric has done to race relations in this country and the black community in general (unemployment rates, crime rates, etc...). Obama is obviously unaware of the teachings of that great man to think that he is somehow worthy to connect himself symbolically to Dr. King in any way.

I can’t believe that Dr. King’s family supports this.

Guess those two will be used for the public on that Monday, but he really takes the oath on the Sunday before that Monday. Bet that one will be on the Koran. Remember, he took the oath twice last time - Roberts screwed up the wording (was that on purpose?), so he took it again in private the next day with Roberts. Did he use the Koran that second time?

Also, remember he has stopped the national day of prayer but celebrates Ramadan in the White House. And, he says the call to prayer for Muslims is the sweetest sound on earth.

I am a woman and don't have much physical strength at my advanced age - some burly guy needs to remove him from the White House and drop him in Mecca where he will be happy listening to the call to prayer every day. Don't they do that twice a day? Sorry, not up on Muslim call to prayer and not going to look it up.
