For those of you who hope to overturn all these huge government power grabs by election this November, name one tyranny in history that was overturned by popular vote.
This week the SCOTUS has stamped 'closed' to the Constitution, state's rights, voter's rights... For almost a century the Marxists have been trying to run over the Constitution; this week it is signed, sealed and buried.
Once again I call for a Constitutional Convention of states with a view towards secession!
The country that used to be called 'The United States of America' will squabble and pettifog over all these issues, and of course the Democrap Party and their shills in the media will end up with everything they want. I say, 'Let them have their Utopian tyranny! Let us seek freedom!'
Time to argue secession and a new Constitutional Republic.
I agree with what you said 100%. Barry is on his way to re-election in November and we’ll be lucky to hold the House with a very slim majority which will mean little.
Prohibition
ping
yup. those who think that any of this is ‘good news’ for our side are delusional
Prohibition?
But right, usually we have been able to trust the courts to be the last ditch safeguards of liberty against an abusive president +/or legislature. This bill should have been treated like FDR's National Recovery Act--overtly derided by justices and repudiated 9-0. But that was then, and the excesses of the New Deal have been sanitized and swallowed whole by the idiots of The Law. In our "Post-Constitutional Court" the NRA would be upheld today.
Mussolini was mhanged AFTER the world went war and millions of lives were lost. Since when is that a vote of the electorate????
Is that a 'popular election'? I think you are referring to Benvenito Mussolini.
They just changed the products prohibited. Nothing changed. Do you say things for fun? Can't abide that anymore, get real. |
Prohibition was a bad LAW. I believe the original poster is referring to an actual tyranny - you know, like the one we have now where they can do whatever they want and Constitution be damned, and if the people complain, they just get the Court to say it’s all legit. Now, with that in mind, try a new answer.
Just because it hasn’t been done doesn’t mean it can’t...or won’t... be done.
And a mandatory term or retirement age for “justices” and “judges” so they don’t get too comfy or insulated from the practical effects of their decisions
Exactly. Prohibition wasn’t a tyranny, because they actually amended the Constitution to give them the authority to prohibit alcohol.
Americans want tyranny. Americans vote in big ways and small ways for tyranny. No excusing seat belt laws. No excusing prohibition. No excusing intrusive city ordinances or heavy handed neighborhood associations. Ethanol subsidies, sugar tarrifs, Union laws, the list goes on and on.
Americans want weak States and a powerful Federal Government. Americans want a King.
The Republic is dead.
I agree... let us who do not want that kind of government segregate ourselves before it is too late! Even if we only get Texas! ... and maybe Alaska! ...etc.
Yes it's time to call a Constitutional Convention. The "red" conservative states outnumber the blue by a significant margin. We need to start to the process now as it will take quite a while. First is to decide by discussion amongst conservatives what amendments will be proposed. Obviously libs will have exactly ZERO input in this process.
Then we move to convention where our superior numbers will decide the proposed amendments. Then we put the vote to the states for ratification.
This is the readers digest version but that's it in a nutshell.
We have nothing to fear. We have the numbers. We have the will of the people. We have the blessing of god. We have the duty to take back our freedom. It is this very day that the framers had in mind when they wrote in the option to amend the Constitution by Convention. Now it is time to act.
America wants a king? Well, they sure got what they wanted.
As for secession, obama would not allow it. Talk about troops on the border. There would be troops on state borders readying for an attack. And “we the people” do not have the firepower to fight back. I used to think the army wouldn’t fire on it’s own people. Soldiers know they got “3 hots and a cot”. There are enough of them who want to keep that in this economy.
“They” have destroyed this country by destroying the economy and making half the people dependent upon the state. It’s now 50-50 and their 50 has the firepower.
Oh, and the army has fired on civilians. The Civil War.
I used to believe that it would be impossible to roll back the gun laws, but we have made incredible gains over the last 15 years or so.
