Are you tired of the slanderous attacks against Newt Gingrich from Glenn Beck, Matt Drudge, Fox, and the establishment GOP? We must give Newt a BIG grassroots FLORIDA victory! Newt encourages grassroots citizen participation. The other candidates just want your vote and then they don't want to hear from you again. Please go to newt.org and volunteer to make calls or volunteer on the ground to get out the vote in Florida. Let's "bury" Romney and the elite in Florida!!!

I think you're right. Heck, Reagan disappointed us, too, on occasion.
But the entire Republican elite (who I am surprised to find, includes Limbaugh and Coulter), has taken to clobbering Newt. I suspect he won't make itn -- which is horrible.

This reminds me what RP said in the last debate, I believe. How big corporations have control over the media. These guys are being gagged, IMO. But they are being willingly gagged to keep their voices heard and jingle in the pocket. So few patriots left.
Drudge and Ann Coulter are also good friends.
Many years ago, the word liberal meant freedom loving, constitutional supporting people. Eventually the left “stole” the word, and labeled the right as “conservative”.
No one in their right mind wants to “conserve” the mess that has been delivered to us since even before, but especially since FDR,LBJ, and Obama.
I don't pay any attention to words based on whether the left or the right uses them, I interpret words based on their meaning, and a rose by any other name is still a rose, no matter who uses the word.
I have the same feeling as you. ‘They’ are trying to squeeze him out - BIG TIME!
I never got into Drudge because I’ve had this site—never saw the need.

With this scorched earth campaign ensuing between Gingrich and Romney to the point where both candidates are quickly becoming damaged goods, why aren’t more FReepers getting behind a conservative with a more consistent track record and less personal baggage like Rick Santorum?
The same creepy feeling I got about Obama early on (2007?) is the same creepy feeling I get about Romney.
Possiblly because simular to the left leaning media..the supposed right? leaning media is virtually silent about anything and everything negative about Romney the party challenged liberal???

because the fact is Rick is a very nice man but he has no fight to take obama on at all.
Rick was my choice too but lets face it the man is about to drop out soon and he does not have that fire in him like Newt so who I ma going to pick

If Romney wins then the establishment will not get me to support, contribute or vote for Romney and I really mean that with all my heart.

I, for one, am beginning to just tune out all loser establishment types. They have turned the Republican party into liberal lite. I will ignore what they all say and vote for Newt. I just don’t care what he did 25 years ago. They certainly don’t care what Obama was doing 25 years ago.

Indeed. You’d think the very FACT that several tons of DIRT is dumped on Newt after he gains traction and right before an important primary would appear a LITTLE suspicious to Florda voters, and they wouldn’t fall for the trick.
