  • Why does Glenn Beck hate Trump so much?

Does anyone here understand Beck's intense hatred for Trump? I mean he seems to have more in common in values with Beck than Hilary (pro-gun, pro-life, constitutionial justices.) So what rationale does he give for his hatred towards the man while he has the "oh whatever" attitude towards Hillary? Anyone know?

Shortened title. Full title: Glenn Beck ‘Profoundly Sad’ After Cruz Endorses Trump: ‘Maybe It Is Time to Go to the Mountains for a While’ The Blaze founder Glenn Beck has weighed in on Texas Senator Ted Cruz’s endorsement of Republican nominee Donald Trump, writing that “[d]isappointment does not begin to describe” his feelings about Cruz’s endorsement of his former primary rival. Beck posted the following to his Facebook page: Profoundly sad day for me. Disappointment does not begin to describe. Maybe it is time to go to the mountains for a while. Glenn Beck on Friday voiced sorrow over Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) endorsing Donald Trump for the presidency. “[This is] a profoundly sad day for me,” he wrote on Facebook. "Disappointment does not begin to describe. “Maybe it is time to go to the mountains for a while,” the conservative commentator added. "Again, disappointment doesn’t even begin to describe my feelings.” Beck, who supported Cruz over Trump in the GOP’s presidential primary, added he feared for the nation’s future. “America is an idea, not a country,” he said. Glenn Beck’s dreams of building a dominant conservative media empire are faltering amid a tangle of lawsuits, financial challenges, plunging on-line readership, firings and political feuds. Beck, who in his days as Fox News host was among the leading voices of the anti-establishment right, invested heavily to parlay that influence into a wide-ranging media enterprise including not just a syndicated radio show, but also his own television network, news website, movie studio, book publishing imprint and clothing line.

In a recent speech to a group of conservatives, I made what I thought was a relatively uncontroversial point about the commonalities between Trump supporters and Black Lives Matter activists. I thought this was a simple idea, but the criticism was immediate and sharp: How dare I try to understand the “other side”? But as people, wouldn’t we all benefit from trying to empathize with people we disagree with?

Today on Glenn Beck’s show, author Brad Thor advocated the assassination of Donald Trump: "I am about to suggest something very bad…. With the feckless, spineless Congress we have, who will stand in the way of Donald Trump overstepping his constitutional authority as President? If Congress won’t remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that? … I don’t think there is a legal means available. I think it will be a terrible, terrible position the American people will be in to get Trump out of office, because you won’t be able to do it through Congress.”...

If he oversteps that, how do we get him out of office? And I don’t think there is a legal means available. I think it will be a terrible, terrible position the American people will be in to get Trump out of office because you won’t be able to do it through Congress.
  • AUDIO: Glenn Beck, Brad Thor discuss a ‘patriot’ taking out Donald Trump

Talk radio host Glenn Beck and best-selling author Brad Thor believe the only way to get a President Trump out of office is for a “patriot” to apparently kill him. With the feckless, spineless Congress we have, who will stand in the way of Donald Trump overstepping his constitutional authority as President? If Congress won’t remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that if, if, he...

Glenn Beck once again blasted critics of his full-throated defense of Facebook – this time by calling out Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report for being biased against Hillary Clinton. Beck has been attacking Facebook’s conservative critics ever since the damage control meeting he and 16 other conservatives had with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg last week following reports from several Facebook whistleblowers that the site’s news curators actively suppress conservative stories in their “trending” news section while simultaneously boosting the signal of leftwing causes like Black Lives Matter. Beck, who has become Zuckerberg’s staunchest defender on the right, took to...

Truncated title. Full title:Glenn Beck Blasts Conservative Critics as ‘Progressives on the Right’; Says Facebook Leans Left Because Conservatives Don’t Use Social Media Glenn Beck fired back today at conservatives who criticized his full-throated defense of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The radio talker dismissed his critics as “progressives on the right” and argued that Facebook skews left simply because more leftwingers use social media. Last week, Beck and 16 other conservatives met with Zuckerberg at a damage control meeting the tech billionaire called following reports from several Facebook whistleblowers that the site’s news curators actively suppress conservative stories in their...
