It is no secret that former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush — the very early GOP presidential favorite — has struggled to catch any traction on the road to the White House. Glenn Beck, though, shared Monday a new “really honorable” theory about why Bush might still be in the running. According to Beck’s theory, Bush knows there is no path to the nomination but is convinced that someone has to stop his biggest rival and No. 1 critic, fellow Republican hopeful Donald Trump. “This would make Jeb one of the most honorable men you could ever imagine. He’s going through...

Glenn Beck was thanked by Ted Cruz in his Iowa victory speech, but for all his ‘mad genius,’ the right-wing media firebrand’s media company has become an abyss of backbiting and paranoia. Glenn Beck is beset by apocalyptic visions, sinister conspiracy theories, mind-blowing prophecies, mysterious illnesses, miraculous cures, and, yes, copious waterworks. But of all of the hobgoblins fluttering through his mind, consistency isn’t one of them. Beck regularly contradicts himself in word and deed—a trait that his less charitable associates call hypocrisy.

Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump is reportedly in the running to receive the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize. Despite the billionaire’s controversial call to ban all Muslims from entering the United States, which drew international backlash, Trump earned the nomination for the award because of his tough stance on terrorism and other security threats, according to Nobel watcher Kristian Berg Harpviken, director of the Peace Research Institute of Oslo. Harpviken said the nominating letter he received outlined why Trump deserved the award. Supporters wrote that the real estate mogul deserved the prize because of “his vigorous peace through strength ideology, used...

Beck began by noting he had just run into Hollywood actor Richard Dreyfus, who for some reason is traveling around Iowa with Republican pollster Frank Luntz, and explained how he had a great conversation with the liberal star about Dwight Eisenhower. Beck also mentioned that he rode an elevator this morning with a Jeb Bush supporter and how he had a uplifting conversation with him despite not being a huge fan of...

For constitutional conservatives, the Republican contest functioned less like a primary and more like an abandonment. Politically orphaned by their party, conservatives were forced to either stay home or hold their noses and vote for a progressive Republican.

The headline reflects the moment my previous support for Ted Cruz (2011/2012), which evolved to concern about Senator Ted Cruz (2013/2014), turned to admitting Ted Cruz was a phoney. The date was Saturday, July 19th, 2014 – I remember it vividly because I noted in my journal “last straw in providing Cruz any benefit of doubt – done“.

"This dopey guy, Glenn Beck. He looks like hell. He's like a dope. And I watch him cry on television all the time. He's doing very badly. His thing is falling apart. His company is falling apart. I see him on television. I actually called Bill O'Reilly. I said, "Bill, why do you have a guy like that on television?" FOX fired him. Then he goes out and does this thing. He says he's doing well. He's not. And the thing that bothered me was, "Donald Trump voted for Barack Obama." Me. And here's the problem. The thing about having...

It is no secret that Glenn Beck is a staunch advocate for Ted Cruz. The relationship between Beck and Cruz is one of mutual financial benefit. However, today Beck shifted his advocacy to another level of scheme with an outright, and already debunked, lie sent out to his twitter followers:

As Syrian “rapefugees” show their appreciation to Europe, it’s a good time to remember Glenn Beck plotted to smuggle in tens of thousands of refugees into the United States. (SNIP) " And if they want to say, ‘Now you can’t bring those people in, now you can’t, that’s somehow illegal, we’ll put you in jail’ – I will so gladly grace a jail for the justice cause of saving people’s lives. I don’t need your permission at all to do the right thing! " But what about vetting? Won’t some of the refugees be ISIS and/or sexual predators? Don’t worry,...

Santorum, who has running for President for years now, ticked off Beck et al with a video political advertisement that went after Beck show darling, Texas Senator Ted Cruz. In the video ad, entitled "Fairy Tales", which contrasts and compares the Senate history's of the two Republican candidates, mocking Cruz for reading "Green Eggs and Ham" during a filibuster a couple of years ago. Not a really good argument, but an ad just the same. This and other attacks on Sen Cruz drew comments from the Beck crew including today when the host himself said of Santorum, "Rick, you're dead...

According to constitutional scholars, Donald Trump is wrong: Ted Cruz's Canadian birth will not prove to be an impediment for him or the Republican Party in 2016.Those who say the Texas senator is not eligible to be president typically make their case by arguing that because he was born in Canada he is not a "natural born citizen," which is a constitutional requirement for anyone seeking the presidency. However, because Cruz's mother, Eleanor, was a United States citizen at the time of his birth, experts largely agree that Cruz is, indeed, a natural born citizen. Cruz, prior to the run-up to...
