he is a lot more conservative the months leading up to an election.

I never followed Perry until his recent reelection and boy are you ever right! He's just political career talk.

“Actually, I think they’d get over it pretty quickly (except for a few die-hards).”

I’m one of those die-hards, but I would get over it very quickly. If Sarah Palin runs, I’ll have to put my money where my mouth is. Work the campaign, etc. It would be worth it.

If Rick Perry runs, I get to spend my time spare time tending my garden, I keep the money I’d spend on Sarah’s campaign, and I sleep extra late on election day.

So...I’m not sure about what this all means.

Could be she's paying attention and warning the masses.

She has never said she intends to run.

Do you know what she did say about running?

I guess you don’t know what the word means in terms of polling data. Sarah does.

Perry is nothing like Reagan, hes more like Bush

that;s why Id prefer Palin if she ran or Bachman, both are not the "Big Tent" Republican establishment drones.

anybody but Lurch Romney

i dunno...but i’d sure ask...he is the most logical pick from a bang for buck perspective

and an excellent VP to run in 4-8 years should whomever be successful

and it is not an identity pick for me though he is Cuban and his wife I think Colombian ethnic

they are sure pretty European looking

if one must go for a latino identity pick then you need a more Zapata looking sort...and I don’t know who that is...some conservative Texas Mexican out there...I’m sure there are a few

but Rubio...he could be Mark Rueben or Marcus Redd ..whatever...he brings a lot...e-votes and considerable ability

Really?

I am aware polls show Bro polling behind some GOP in FL but not Palin and but Dems were very strong there in 2000..obviously..and won in 2008.

In WI, Dems have won every race since Magnus....and except for 2000...by anywhere from 5-16 points

Sorry...I’d rather cement the FL deal.

but Portman is not without merit and WI does seem weaker than usual...unless folks turn on the austerity moves there...and WI is only 10 votes

GOP can live without WI, they cannot live without FL..which is now 29 electoral votes actually...nearly 3 times WI

you can remind me...but I bet it’s Rubio

>He has NEVER lost an election, including an elementary school contest for “king” of the Paint Creek School Carnival. He secured that win by handing out pennies for votes.

Well...he was a Democrat at the time, but he's since seen the light. I think we should give him a pass on that one. :)

update:

Screw Rubio.

I have been informed by freepers smarter than me that Rubio scorned Arizona’s immigration law which tells me the Alabama one must give him anal fissures.

So adios pendejo..su sido verdadero

A real Texan, not one born of New England, ruling class parents who attended Yale and Harvard. I bought a half dozen of Perry's book and sent them (thanks Amazon) to friends and family today, including my daughter who is a sophomore at The University of Texas at Austin. I told her she has an opportunity to experience the thrill of presidential campaign like when I worked on the Reagan's 1980-one that will bring real hope and change to the USA.

Rubio opposed Arizona’s immigration law. I won’t be voting for a ticket with him on it.

There isn’t anyone running that doesn’t have some black mark on their record. Except for people with exceptionally short records. Your reasoning is consistent, I suppose. In practice, it just means that we’ll be stuck with Barack Obama length resumes, and just hope that they never let us down once they get elected as President.

I’m in California. Over the last 45 years I have seen firsthand what the refusal to enforce the border coupled with pandering to illegal aliens accomplishes. This state went from one that elected Ronald Reagan governor to one that is only marginally part of America.

I suppose you very well could be stuck with Obama if the GOP is fool enough to nominate another open borders Republican. I sure as hell won’t vote for a ticket containing one.

Here’s something to add: Bill Bennett is working and traveling with Governor Perry, advising him on issues.

What kind of crapola are you pushing? Only minds of mush believe and push polling data this far from an election!
