Jim went to the VA hospital this afternoon for his scheduled checkup.
They admitted him. His remaining leg is not looking good. Three surgeons will confer tomorrow morning
on whether and when his right leg will be amputated.
When I talked to him this afternoon, he consented to me asking for prayers regarding this latest health issue.

The chaplain came in last night and prayed for healing. It was a beautiful prayer. Had me in tears. The President said the same thing, that the most beautiful sound in the world was...oh wait, that was something else.

Quick update. A squad of doctors just visited me. My red blood cell count is still down, blood pressure is low and heart rate elevated so they’re recommending a blood transfusion this afternoon. Then if all goes well, I’ll probably be going home tonight. The X-rays show no infection in the bone. They’re saying I can keep my leg for now, but the open wound is a high risk and they’re doubting it will ever heal. Whew! When I saw that squad of doctors coming into my room, all with grim looks on their faces, I was afraid they were going to hold me down and start sawing.
Praying for the best.
Thanks again for your prayers. I believe the Lord is listening.
