I started lurking around the time Drudge broke the Lewinsky story, in early 1998. I was complaining to a friend about the difficulty of figuring out what Bubba was up to with the MSM running interference for him, and my friend told me about FR. I liked it right away. By that fall (October 1998) lurking on FR was a daily habit for me. I didn’t register for a couple of years because I only had internet access at work and didn’t want to post from there anyway. By the summer of 2000 with the election heating up I could no longer stay silent. I have been engaging many, amusing a few, and annoying numerous others ever since. I’ve had a few of my posts pulled but I have never been suspended. I’ve met Jim Robinson in person a few times and many other FReepers as well. There is only one rogue yam and I’m not going anywhere.
