1. Is Powell going to profit (vis-a-vie) Ifill's book?
2. Who has more stature - a sitting US Senator (J. Lieberman) or a retired AA general/SOS suporting the candidate of the opposing party for president?
3. Is there any differnce between Colin Powell and Wesley Clark?

2. He has shown himself to be gutless when it comes to politics

I think you are right. There is a difference between Powell and Clark. Clark aspired to political office. Powell declined every opportunity to run for political office. At any rate, the only place you will see the Powell endorsement talked up as important will be MSNBC/NBC. He made it on their network and they are in the tank for Obama anyway. Watch Morning Joe, tomorrow if you want to puke.

Hard for me to say that Clark actually is less of a weasel than anyone, but at least he never pretended to be a Republican.

Powell gives some cover to 0bama to those who say he is weak on defense. Nice going, backstabber. Not only betraying his country but also presidents he said he admired like Reagan and both Bushes.
So now as soon as some international crisis blows up in 0bama’s face, or God forbid when we are attacked again because 0bama weakens our defenses, we can thank (blame!) Powell and the other “patriots” who helped get him elected.

The next time I hear someone say they are voting for Obama because of agreement on policy, my TV is at serious risk.

Powell lost me after he didn’t say anything about the Armitage-Plame-CIA-”leak” thing.
He’s a Jerk
Just watched the Powell interview on MTP. His reasoning sounds plausible, but it is the things he doesn’t say that say the most.
He completely falls for the line that Obama and Ayers only had limited connections.
Goes against his own statements about troop withdrawals on arbitrary deadlines, instead saying that the current situation makes that moot. Well, it wasn’t any action of Obama, particularly with regard to the surge, that got us here.
He keeps hemming and hawing. Pretty unconvincingly to me.
I think he has gone for a positive image in black posterity rather than a good choice.
