Just received this email from the “Democrat Party” (how I got on their mailing list I’ll never know:
————copied from email inbox-————
“Dear ******,

John McCain may be feeling good about his victory in New Hampshire’s primary last night, but you can bet video clips like this one from the campaign trail will come back to haunt him:

Can you believe it? Just last week, one of our organizers was at a town hall meeting for John McCain in Derry, New Hampshire. When an audience member asked him what he thought about President Bush’s plan to keep troops in Iraq for 50 years, McCain answered, “make it a hundred.”

This is why I love my job - this video was shot by Alexis, one of our “trackers” for the Democratic Party. Every day, trackers like Alexis travel from campaign event to campaign event, quietly filming the Republican presidential candidates and posting it online.

Republicans are so dissatisfied with their field of candidates, they can’t make up their mind. That means we have to spend more time covering more people than we have before. That’s why I’m asking you to help keep the Democratic Party’s trackers and organizers on the ground.

Will you keep the Republican candidates on the record with a donation?

http://www.democrats.org/100years

You can always see our tracking video online right here...

http://www.democrats.org/FlipperTV

During the whole course of the campaign, McCain lost ground among independents over his stubborn promise to deliver a third Bush term on the war in Iraq. On this video, McCain makes that promise again. He not only interrupted a voter’s question telling him we should “make it a hundred” years in Iraq and “that would be fine with me,” he told a reporter after the event that U.S. troops could be in Iraq for ‘a thousand years’ or ‘a million years,’ as far as he was concerned.”
—snip snip-—
We’re getting results. Just look at last night’s results. Democrats showed up 2 to 1 over Republicans in Iowa, and New Hampshire saw a shortage of ballots in some locations because so many folks were voting in the our Party’s primary.

The tracker’s work isn’t very glamorous - but it’s important. Can you help keep people like Alexis in the field?

http://www.democrats.org/100years

We know the republicans are going to do everything they can to hold on to power. They won’t give up without a fight, and neither will we. With your help we’re going to win.
Sincerely,

Mike Gehrke
-——————————————————————The End-——

At least on the War on Terror, McCain is 100% right. His ardent and consistent support for the War on Terror is a major plus factor. Does he have negatives? Hell yea, but he has positives too. That’s more than I can say about Hillary & co.

McCain was part of the Gang Of 14 that threatened to use the “nuclear option”. He also condemned the Bush administration for torturing Islamic terrorists.

This thread evidences the rampant anti-Republicanism on display by myriad anti-Republicans daily at Free Republic.

No one...and I mean no one...is good enough for these phony conservatives.

First, it was "anybody but Rudy."

Then, it was "anybody but Rudy and Mitt."

Recently it became "anybody but Rudy, Mitt, and Huckabee."

Now, it's "anybody but Rudy, Mitt, Huckabee and McCain."

I guarantee you...and I've seen it begin...if Fred Thompson begins to make headway in South Carolina, we will witness phony conservatives declaring him to be a RINO, due to his Federalist stance on abortion (this heinous train of thought has already reared its ugly head, but so far it hasn't reached crisis level) and he will be smeared as being a supporter of some of McCain's legislation and ideologies.

Nothing seems to be good enough for these fakes...but I use the word "seems" because these people are interested in propogating a Republican defeat in November. Mark my words. Thompson will be next if he experiences success.

You might look a little "ill" if you'd gone through two bouts of chemo and surgeries on your face for cancer.

Of all the things to judge him on, that doesn't even get on the radar

Our borders are part of national security.

True. But none of the Democrat candidates are any better on border security than McCain and they are worse on all other aspects of national security and terrorism. So if McCain is the Republican nominee, he will get my vote.

I take it back. I’ll vote for McCain if he’s on the ticket as V.P. He’d be too old to run for President in eight years, and as V.P. he’d be less damaging than as a Senator.

McCain hasn’t shown he would pick anyone better than the Dims. Gang of 14 and all that.

Are you one of those, "Don't confuse me with facts, my mind is made up" people? What happens when the dims get to appoint younger liberal justices? What would even a 100% conservative president and congress be able to do under those conditions? The gag of 14 at least got us John Roberts and Samuel Alito.

I don't like McCain either, I once wrote him and said I would not vote for him because of the gang of 14 and the CFR. However,my candidate is A.B. H. (anybody but Hillary)

U.S. carrier help? (Admiral offers help to China)

Adm. Tim Keating, the U.S. Pacific Command leader, told reporters during his visit to China last month that while building and operating a carrier battle group is complex, the United States is willing to help.

"We would, if they choose to develop [an aircraft-carrier program], help them to the degree that they seek and the degree that we're capable, in developing their programs," Adm. Keating said.

U.S. may share missile info with China
WASHINGTON, June 4 (UPI) -- The United States would "seriously" consider sharing technology and missile warning intelligence with China, (Secretary of Defense Gates) the U.S. defense chief said Sunday.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1846099/posts

Some China firms avoid U.S. technology transfer licenses

WASHINGTON: Six months ago, the U.S. government quietly eased some restrictions on the export of sensitive technologies to China. The new approach was intended to help U.S. companies increase sales of high-technology equipment to China despite tight curbs on sharing technology that might have military applications.

But now the administration is facing questions from weapons experts about whether some equipment - newly authorized for export to Chinese companies deemed trustworthy by Washington - could instead end up helping China modernize its military. Equally worrisome, the weapons experts say, is the possibility that China could share the technology with Iran or Syria.

The technologies include advanced aircraft engine parts, navigation systems, telecommunications equipment and sophisticated composite materials.

Press release from the Citizens for Global Solutions (CGS) back in January of 2005 hailing McCain for his support of the ICC. While McCain was quoted as saying about the ICC, “I’m not satisfied that there are enough safeguards” for U.S. citizens, the CGS said that “his declaration at the World Economic Forum was the strongest indication to date that he would be in favor of the United States joining the ICC in the near future.”

America must either remain a constitutional republic or submit to international law because it cannot do both.’”

“Unlike the rest of the Republican field,” reporter Bob Egelko said, “Sen. John McCain has said he would like to see the United States join the international court, although he would first require more protections for U.S. personnel.” The ICC would strip Americans of Bill of Rights protections if they were apprehended and put on trial for alleged international crimes. The article did not explain how McCain would change the institution, which is now in existence, in order to require those protections. Most of the rest of the world, led by the European Union, rejected any safeguards for U.S. citizens.

Can you show me the difference between Republicans and RINO's (McCain) and Democrats protection plan for the Republic.

Both parties are pushing for the New World Order equally.

The point is that without the votes of these RINOs we would have neither Alito nor Thomas sitting on the Supreme Court. This means that they are preferable to Democrats, who cannot be counted on to vote for any constructionist at any time.

The RINOs stood on principle in these votes. Some of them were castigated mightily for their votes by their constituents.

The Democrats who voted for these justices did so because they stuck their fingers into the wind, took polls and reacted to phone calls.

This is further evidence of the importance of voting Republican at all costs in November.

Make haste from Rio Linda.

True. But none of the Democrat candidates are any better on border security than McCain and they are worse on all other aspects of national security and terrorism.

I think the best way to make our nation secure is to bring the war to the enemy in their own country and kill the terrorists there and secure our borders to make it more difficult to come into our country and attack us as revenge.

McCain's way is to bring the war to the enemy in their own country and kill the terrorists there and leave our back doors open.

Obama believes we should not attack the terrorists at all and keep our borders open. This is dangerous but not as dangerous as McCain's way

I’m voting for McCain. He’s strong on the WOT, and that’s the only thing that matters this election.

Amazing how few seem to get this.

We let the rug be pulled out on this - and no other issues are going to matter - we'll be to busy looking for caves
