“Do you have an answer to my question as to whether or not Ronald Reagan compromised when he chose Richard Schweiker and GHW Bush as vice-presidential running mates?”

Yes. He did not whore out his core principles.

You assume McNuts doesn’t START the next Nuke war.

I won’t vote for him, ever.

Considering the alternatives, it's still an easy vote.

Mrs. Rodham has no intention of allowing a fair election again.

The damage that Hillary and her Marxist pals can do to this great Country in 4 short years is astounding.

You would not recognize our Military, our schools, border, our culture, our economy, and of course our religions.

The military (which she hates) would be decimated and scorned, schools will be centers of social instruction, our culture will be even more "multi" (except anything traditional will be out), much of the economy will be collectivized (energy, pharmaceuticals, heavy industry, etc) and the resulting failures will be blamed on Dubya, and religion, well, you see what the aclu is doing already, more of that.

Hillary depends on we conservatives being stubbornly factionated for her to win the first time.

etc...

add to all you posted, she would carry out her promise to eliminate the Electoral College - which will forever throw out 'red country' votes. Only votes from the blue big cities will count.

Rural America will forever be marginalized - serfs to the Socialists.

Hold your nose but keep the Socialists out NOW or bend over for the rest of your life...and explain to your kids and grandkids why you brought Communism upon them -

And almost immediately, face our brave TROOPS whose mission/victories/sacrifices will be pulled out from under them.

Meet them at the airports and spit in their faces openly instead of cowardly by voting against them and our flag.

As for me, I will "NEVER FORGET"

...

Other than pro-life and the surge, I cannot think of anything the man is correct on.

I understand what you’re saying, but you are forgetting the power of Congress. Mike Pence has a bill pending to shut off any attempt at the Fairness Doctrine restoration. If the Dims didn’t let it come up for a vote, we’d do the same as we did with shamnesty. And by the next election cycle, there would be a reckoning.

And, if you really think everyone who enjoys the Internet in all its grittiness will submit to invasions of privacy, censorship, and the like, I think you should reconsider that one. Heck, they couldn’t even get porn filtered out of public libraries.

I fully agree that the Clintons are as evil as they come and need to be denied the WH, but I’m going to wait and see if the Dims are so crazy as to make her their nominee, then I’ll make a final decision based on who the R nominee is. I just can’t think that McCain will go very far. I think Romney is more likely. I also think Obama will be the Dim nominee, because he really does seem to be generating a lot of excitement in many cases.

In any case, I’m keeping my powder dry and working to get a better choice than McCain.

I believe that 4 years of bad Democratic leadership could buck up this party to move right again.

that might be a little hard to do with republican votes being thrown out.

Hillary has openly stated she will eliminate the Electoral College - which has defeated her and hers in the past.

Our Founding Fathers saw clearly that without the EC system, rural votes would be dead on arrival -

If the dems get in, the EC will be dead long before another election - and only big Blue City votes will count.

How do you propose republicans get to move in any direction without the EC - except to bend over to their new masters?

I will agree that Clinton and Obama are socialists...as is McCain. McCain supports all the socialist agenda on global warming. McCain doesn’t support tax cuts. McCain supports open borders and amnesty as do the socialists. McCain supports gay marriage as do the socialists. McCain supported the socialists in their effort to block Conservative judiciary appointments. McCain says that America tortures known terrorists in interrogation techniques as do the socialists. McCain wants to close Gitmo as do the socialists. McCain wants to normalize relations with the North Vietnamese Communists. McCain passed McCain Feingold and trashed the Constitution as do the socialists. McCain supports stem cell research on embryos as do the socialists McCain is not very intelligent as are many socialists (see his class rank)......What’s the difference?

The only difference I can tell is that he is willing to fight Al Quida and the war on terror so that the illegal aliens living in America will be protected. That’s not enough differnce in my opinion to vote for McInsane.

Yeah, I forgot those.

It’s a really sad day when we are looking at two socialists running for office.

Someone needs to explain this. The Barrett report had over 100 pages redacted that detail Clinton abuses using the IRS. No, that didn't just happen. Hillary got that accomplished while the GOP was still in charge of Congress.

We are talking here about someone who has committed perjury, used the IRS against enemies, and used thugs to intimidate women into silence. We are not dealing with a regular politician here who can be reigned in by congress. This is a woman who has never paid for illegally possessing 900 FBI files of her enemies. Her husband is a rapist, and she destroyed people behind the scenes to defend him. Some people have no idea what she is capable of doing. She got the office of a US Attorney to withhold important video evidence while her campaign finance chairman faced criminal trial and while official investigations were ongoing. She is like nothing we have ever before seen. She really is a neo-Stalinist.

Remember McCain stories like this below that occurred as recent as 2006?

Sen. John McCain gave a big thumbs up last night to demonstrators planning to march across the Brooklyn Bridge today in support of comprehensive immigration reform.

I think our best bet right now is a brokered convention.

I would vote for myself or third party.

If you do, you spit on these sacrifices -

and I spit on any who do, as, wrapped up in their self-importance, they give aid and comfort to the enemy

Then you are a left wing dyed in the wool liberal, if you just reached the conclusion that a republican with military experience who supports a strong defense (bedrock conservative concept) is more likely to “start a war” than a left wing weakling such as Hilary or Obama (in Hilary’s case possibly taking money from the Red Chinese).

In my book folks who think like you are called liberal democrats.

I assume you aren’t so give some thought to how tortured your reasoning has become. I don’t favor McCain, Fred T is just fine with me. But I will pray fervently for a nominated McCain to beat the dem.

And if you think she can get 2/3 of the states to agree to a Constitutional amendment for the same, you would be wrong. No flyover state would go for it.
