Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Well, then, let me help, if I might. What pph has a problem with is the bullying - not the reason for the bullying. And it seems clear enough that she thinks one set of bullies have merely been replaced by another. But, although she is more in tune with the ideology of the bullies du jour, she still has a problem with bullies anyhow.

I will try just once more, then I give up. I'm not willing to merely waste my time on lost causes, even if they are worthy causes, like you and your friend. And I doubt the worthiness of your cause. But here it is:

What do you hope to achieve in this thread? If it's banishment, then quit being a pansy and take the plunge. If it's something else, what is it?

Given the choice between Hillary and Hillary (Rudy), I’ll pick hunting that day. I have better things to do with my time on a Fall day than waste it voting for a flaming liberal.

That's certainly your privilege and I hope it's not a choice either of us have to make but to deny there's not a difference between Rudy or the Beast is to deny reality.

We've already had one Clinton sit by for 8 years while we were attacked countless numbers of time. He also set up the biggest attack on our country ever. Do we really need another Clinton in the White House?

I remember one high profile FReeper (now exiled to zotland) who said it would be worth it to lose the Senate if we could just get rid of Chafee. Well, we did lose Chafee and we did lose the Senate.

How's that working out for us?

I pray we'll have a good, strong conservative candidate to vote for but if not, I'll vote moderate, liberal, even evil but I won't vote crazy. McCain is definitely out in my view.

since I plain on voting for Hunter .. who if I recall correctly is for securing the border .. I don’t see your point in hounding me with spam

But hey .. whadda I know .. I’m just a simple housewife

In post 15008 you said; "At least Rudy will defend our country"

I debated the point - which didn't require much effort (I served 3 tours). This is a debate forum and I jumped in. As you kept responding I assumed you wished to defend Rudy's viability on national defense. I didn't know you considered that spam.

Being a house wife is an honorable endeavor, and there is nothing that I value higher than a mother who raises her own children rather than leaving them to someone else. If your children are out of the home now you can educate yourself about military science. The Marine Corps professional reading lists are a good primer.

No that IS the reality.

Except for fluff and the fact that Mr Guiliani has an R by his name, this is zero difference between the beast and the anti-christ.

Great choice. Wasn't it Franklin on your post, '(not verbatim) we shall all hang together, or we shall all hang separately?

I love reading the patriotic quotes you're posting. Thank you for them.

I wish I could have gotten my composition students to agree with that one! LOL!

Eloquence is feeling pouring itself to other minds, courting their sympathy, or endeavoring to influence their belief or to move them to passion or to action.

It was Franklin. He said that at the Declaration of Independence.

“If all I’m given is the choice between horse poop and cow poop to eat.

I’ll starve.”

Thing is, “none of the above” isn’t a choice. If the choice in the general election is between Rudy and Hillary, ONE of the two WILL be President, no matter how much you detest them both, and you will have the live with the consequences of that.

If it comes down to that choice, and you guys want to be responsible for putting Hillary in office because you can’t lower yourself to vote for Giuliani, that’s NOT doing the conservative movement any good.

But if Hillary does run against Rudy, she will claim that there is a major difference - she is for family values and stood by her man while Rudy mistreated his spouses. And MSM will support her and minimize her extensive baggage.

Certainly.

No one has ever denied that the MSM is a willing accomplice to the DNC.

It will be a very difficult and filthy campaign. As the say in the NBA commercials..

I know this is over the top, but please bear with me.

Explain to me please how voting for Hitler or voting for Stalin, does me, a Jew, any good?

How does this help Jewery?

The co-relation is this (in my mind, I know you have a different opinion).

If I have 2 Liberals that I have been given a choice on and I am 100% opposed to one and only 90% opposed to the other, how does that help my conservative brethren? (Those are accurate percentages by the way).

I agree with you 100% they will. But they are going to do that regardless of who the Republican Party has as it’s nominee.

Why should the Republican Party further shoot itself in the foot by exacerbating the problem, by putting someone in that a great number of conservatives flat will not support under any circumstances?

Easily.

IT's apples and oranges.

You are proceeding from a false assumption. Therefore your conclusion has little chance of being correct.
