'TITANIC' director James Cameron and Simcha Jacobovici, a filmmaker-archaeologist, are set to unveil three coffins this week that they say are those of Jesus, Mary and Mary Magdalene. In an coming documentary, Cameron and Jacobovici cite "scientific evidence" that the resurrection of Jesus never happened and that Jesus fathered a son named Judah with Mary Magdalene.

Such claims should, and surely will, be met with overwhelming skepticism. For example, the filmmakers use DNA tests to build their case - but whose DNA is being compared with whose? Did they swab the Holy Ghost?

But prominent Christian clergymen won't issue any death warrants, and the Vatican won't call upon "all believing Christians" to avenge the insult. Neither Cameron nor Jacobovici will have to spend the next decade or so in hiding.

Now imagine if they'd gone after Mohammad instead of Jesus . . .

Well, they might be, but seeing that they deny the Crucifixion and Resurrection (Mohammed seems to have based his account of Jesus' (or Issa's) life on the gnostic 'Gospel of Barnabas', which has Simon of Cyrene not merely carry the Cross, but get crucified in Jesus' place), they'll only get in a snit for the implicit denial of the Ascension--even they think Jesus is coming back.

James Cameron's claims concerning finding an earthly tomb of the prophet Isa and an earthly family constitute apostatsy that contradicts the Koran, and Muslims should soon start reacting to it as such.

It should make Hollywood's commercial ventures very interesting.

I was disappointed that the primary reaction wasn't loud guffaws of ridicule. Even Fox (well, Shep anyway) reported it as if it were an actual story. Or is that "story"?

Actually I seem to recall (but Google searches on obvious keyword combinations don't turn up a reference) that someone wrote a novel or short-story about a woman film-maker who wanted to film a life of Mohammed, which ended up getting the title "P.O.V. Mohammed" (at least as a working title), since to avoid the Sunni prohibition on images of Mohammed, it had to be shot form the 'prophet's' point of view so he never appeared.

Given the political atmosphere in the USA, especially the god-less socialist/communist Democrats, the enemy within is emboldened to trash God fearing, law abiding Americans, as they confidently pursue their leftist agenda. Given that even the current administration is willing to go against the will of the people as Clinton did many times, especially in connection with the Mexican border barrier, and illegal immigration. ...very sad for our country.

What is with the secularists' facination with Magdelene? She gets a brief mention in the Gospels. Why don't these fools just go back to saying Jesus was gay, because there was one disciple "whom he loved?"
