I am not sure the chronologies in the Bible haven’t left out some of the people....so I think it is not wrong to a add a few years...after all...if some of those men lived to be 8-9 hundred years, and their name as skipped...that could add a few thousand years....if the earth was significantly altered during the flood that would render calculating the age of the earth by stratification layers or rock characteristics like concentration of radioactive daughter elements to be a potentially error prone system.
I just read that a star cluster was located in the milky way galaxy that is estimated to be about 13 billion years old. Close to the age of the universe. Why isn’t the cluster at the edge of the universe? Our cosmological understanding may be very incomplete. Even deGrasse Tyson thinks the whole universe is a simulation....so that means everything we discover is possibly capricious conjecture. Wow.
In general what is popular does not fit with the content of Sacred Scripture, even though no book has ever outsold the Holy Bible.
Man, that Genesis tune done to “Yesterday” is barfable cheesy.
I’m headed over to my first visit at his creation museum today.
What we can’t trust is people who ignore “the works of His hands” that we can observe and try to cram it into 6 days starting when there was nothing by which the days could be counted.

Here’s an interesting take on the conundrum. Schroeder is an astrophysicist from MIT, who is Jewish and a believer inN God. H e knows Hebrew and looks at the Hebrew text for insight into his theory.

What will deGrasse Tyson do when he discovers who is running the simulation? ;-) If he means all of creation is held in the mind of God, and without Him we are nothing, I might go along with him a bit.
When I read Genesis 1:1 it says “In the beginning....” I don’t think we know when that was. It also says the earth was void and dark. In verse 2 God says “let there be light.”
What makes sense to me is that there is a period of time between verse 1 and 2. Earth was like all the other planets when it was created. Later God put life on it.
The theory of evolution is just that...a theory and makes absolutely no sense to me....especially as I observe nature and life. I believe that God created.

I think it’s just a possible that if God could create Adam as a fully mature man he could create a fully mature universe.
I am pretty sure, I didn’t evolve from an Ape.

The ‘days’ of creation were thousands of years…. Actually what is described is an environmental clean up after the casting down of the devil, described in Genesis 1:2. This earth was not created without form and void, it became that way. (Isaiah 45)
When do people think the casting down-overthrow of Lucifer took place? The serpent-tree of the knowledge of good and evil, was there in the garden of God..
When did this knowledge get known?
I came to that very same conclusion in 1991.
But whatever the cause of the simulation is....it would mean our “science” is an illusion.. but then didn’t Tyson come to his conclusion based on what our “scientific” knowledge has inferred? Conundrum city.
