Christ said you must Eat my Body and drink my Blood if you want Eternal Life. In gospel of John some Jews began to openly complain that it was repulsive to think about eating his Body & Blood. Christ called them Out and said you must or you reject me! The Majority got up and left! The Apostles were asked the same thing. They Said Jesus you are the WAY and the light the True God & man where would we go?
The Bread came in two examples 1st Book of Genesis Melchizedek also known as King of Salem just won a battle and celebrated the victory by Offering Bread & wine in Thanksgiving to GOD for the Victory.
2nd Example was the Mana from Heaven in exodus with Moses. This bread you ate but weren’t fulfilled. Christ was the True mana from heaven that gave us eternal LIFE.
The Entire new testament is the new Covenant the Only Covenant of the new testament. The Body blood soul and divinity of our LORD Jesus Christ who died for our sins and those of the WHOLE world.
Every Book in the New testament contributed to the Liturgy of the Eucharist which in 110 AD became the HOLY Mass with the Holy Eucharist as the center of the Mass. You Can read Early Church fathers in 1st century they talk of the REAL Presence in the Eucharist.

Not to stir the pot, but with over 30,000 denominations of Christianity, there must be some room for interpretation.

Christ was also there in His earthly body when He gave the disciples the bread. He didn’t give them His earthly body, though. While I believe He gave them and gives us His body, and don’t believe it’s as the Catholic Church imagines it.
And yes, we are saved by faith alone. As you know, I’m sure, Paul said we have been saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves, but it is a gift from God, so no one can boast. What James means, though, is akin to what Paul often talked of, that faith must be real. Bible-believing Christians see the necessity of both faith and works, and I’ve never heard otherwise preached myself where the pastor wasn’t called out for serious error. It can never be a matter of choosing Paul or James at any point. What the Catholic Church seems to do is to choose James, say Protestants choose Paul and ignore James, and then later tack on Paul’s words (because they have to be acknowledged since they’re in the Bible!) without truly reconciling them all along. What James is talking about is that faith can’t “be alone,” or it’s just false confidence. Both faith and works have to be present in the person’s life. If works are present, then that means the faith is what it should be. And then is also a warning for us to do as Paul says in different ways, test ourselves and examine ourselves. j

Paul makes a distinction between 'works' and 'works of the law' He was writing to certain heretics referred to a 'judazizers'
You need to do a bit of study to understand the difference.
MacArthur is pretty staunch as well...though understandably why that is. I agree that any who preach and teach need to be examined in ones own time with the Lord for verification on disputable matters. Sometimes it takes time before the Lord makes that clear....
....but in the end He has never failed me in understanding His Word and will when it matters I do.
Plagues follow evangelical Christianity around as well... it’s not like all the plagues are with the Roman church. Ultimately, I would aver, “coming out” is about a personal attitude of Christian life, not about what the sign says outside of the door of the place you go to worship. If something you hear in a congregation of believers is ungodly, you might not, at least as a first move, go scrambling around looking for that perfect church congregation that doesn’t exist, but you might ignore it and, as possible, lovingly admonish the source, because you know the godly truth. If you can find someplace better, maybe you do go there — and maybe you continue to bloom where planted. Leaving a congregation that has actual believers can be a heart rending experience.
If you get it all perfect you will then be able to open the Infallible Church Of Caww. I don’t think so.
My hunch is that even Catholic priests are denouncing this idea, though I don’t have any positive proof.
There is the official religion there which has its own issues, its own merits and its own problems, then there are meta-religions around it. This St. Joseph stuff is about the meta-religions. Me? Even if I were Catholic and thought that St. Joseph was actually supernaturally available to bestow blessings, burying a statue of him would be about the last thing on my mind. That would be pretty disrespectful to the good Saint would it not?
This looks a lot like special pleading to me.
We can’t get it perfectly....I’m not saying that at all...but the things today’s society is trying to make issue about doesn’t take all that much to know you don’t do it...or you do do it.
Instead society redefines what it wants the scripture to say....and will go to all extremes to make it so.
I do believe God gives us discernment within to know the differences.....His word most generally confirms this...or directs His spirit within us. After all He wrote it, I’m sure HE can give us what we need to know.
God gets us close. Until we are out of this world we won’t be literally all there. I think we should keep enough humility to leave room for more detail to be furnished as long as we live — and some of it will be by the prompting of God’s spirit that we can then recognize as oh, the bible really does say this too and we missed it.
The “plagues” that will fall on the Catholic Church haven’t begun and won’t until after the rapture. You ain’t seen nothing like is going to befall them.
Well... ALL churches are going to lose their believers at that point, Bear.
What grace the Roman Catholic church had will be gone... but the same for the Southern Baptists, etc.
