The enemy revealed (why Christianity is losing the younger generation—and what to do about it)

We are losing our children! Research indicates that 70% of teens who are involved in a church youth group will stop attending church … [1]

Similar statements from Christian leaders aren’t new, but many still can’t seem to identify the root cause of the problem. However, most front-line evangelists in the Western world have reached a consensus. The following quote is from a person who shares his faith more times in a month than most Christians ever will in their lives...

But no one is asking that the Bible be taught as science...that’s a silly strawman constructed by liberals that can’t tolerate dissent of evolution.

Just like “which creation story” or “do you want Islam forced on your kids” nonsense.

None of those things are remotely relevant...what worked just fine was how science was taught in the 50’s before secular humanist separation of Christianity from state liberals hijacked the public education system.

Michael Newdow types that have also separated themselves from sanity!

“Government schools must be abolished because it is NOT religiously neutral to teach children how to think godlessly, and then ask parent to both unteach these godless habits and patterns and then attempt to teach in a few hours in the evening what should have been part of the child’s entire day.”

So “government schools” should be abolished because you don’t believe that you’re capable of teaching your children? Your faith is truly weak.

Well wintertime, you have your answer if nothing else. Disjointed, rambling, purposeful, willful, obfuscating nonsense that it is!

[[as far as the zerrhoid...my brother is convinced he’s a precursor. I sure hope he’s right!]]

I don’t know if he is or not, but as you say, things are looking quite scary- Russia, ticked off about losing the cold war, and losing face, through Putin, is tryign to reestablish the persian empire by coddling Iran- Iran, before it became Iran, was Persia, and Putin is financing Atomic plants in Iran, and working to conglomerate nations like Syria, Jordan etc, and with Obama coddling muslim nations- profusely apologizing for America’s supposed sin and greed, attackign the CIA, gutting the military etc, one really MUST wonder if Obama isn’t goign to usher in the end times, or like your brother says, is a precursor- settign hte stage- Obama and the far left really really want htis country of ours to be under UN rule, and liek you said, the U.N is made up of a bunch of really bad dudes/terrorists- one really has to wonder WHY obama and hte far left so desperately want us to come under UN rule?

[[When you think about it...there’s alot to be done...but this dude is moving faster than I thought!]]

EXACTLY- the speed with which he and the far left are dismantling this great nation of ours, and our security, and way of life, is nothing short of astonishing- the speed is truly taking me by surprise too- I keep tryign to tell myself that God is the one who sets up whom He will for His own purposes, but on the other hand, it’s VERY HARD to watch it this country, and all we stood for, go down in flames so quickly, and with such fervor.

I had written an article on my blog before Obama got elected, and I said that the far left was just itchign and waiting for their chance to do as much damage, and grab as much $$ from us as they could before they got booted out on their cans where they belong! But I never thought it would happen so quickly and with such vitriol toward our way of life and our values. He has certainly removed his mask, and his fangs are bared for all to see clearly now- I just hope peopel get the message sooner than later-

Incidentally, when he got elected I overheard two old ladies discussing him and both said they didn’t think he would last. At first I had no idea what they meant...impeachment? Then it dawmed on me.

And now I hear Hugo fearing for his safety...and some whacked out law professor on O’Reilly tonight saying death threats are up some 400% (from W. I guess).

Scary times!

[[But “nice” and “loving people” are not the same as being a Christian.]]

Just a couple of points- first, ‘being nice’ is not about simply ignoring error so as not to stir the pot- IF someone is in error, and in danger of missing hte mark, it’s certainly NOT nice to ignore it to keep from getting in arguments. A lost person who is never told the truth is goign to go to hell, and it’s certainly not ‘nice’ to be still and allow that to happen.

Second, Being ‘nice’ to fellow Christians, isn’t about looking hte other way when they sin or beleive soemthign in error either. Love- True Christian love, requires that we, regardless of how it might hurt, confront sin in fellow Christians, and exhort htem to change- The bible teaches that after al lattempts to do so have failed, then we’re to put them out- to hand htem over to their sins if they wil lnot listen to sound doctrine.

Third: One of the reasons young peopel are leaving, is because htere is no such love as described above. Young people NEED structure- they are NOT getting it today, and are beign taught the liberal wishy washy idea of ‘love’ ie: That’s it’s ‘not nice’ to confront others, because afterall, there are ‘lot’s of itnerpretations’ and all are ‘equally valid’. The bible has becoem nothing but a ‘good book’ written by ‘good people’ (althoiugh wishy washy ‘religious people’ are quick to point ot old testament cultural edicts, and claim all Christianity is bad because old testament peopel lived by strict cultural rules). A child NEEDS structure, strong moral structure, and infact seek structure- when they don’t find it, they simply assume it must not exist- The church today is failign to provide true moral structure, and young folks recognize this, and think it’s nothign but a joke- soemthign that ‘might be good to do’ but which they don’t really care to partake ion because they don’t see any exampels in the elders.

We are not ‘loving one another’ even as ‘Christ first loved us’ today, and we are turnign a blind eye to error and sin because we are afraid of confrontation- Christ NEVER feared exposing sin when He encountered it, and that was TRUE love, and peopel recognized it and flocked to it because they were desperate for moral structure- Sin seems pelasuable for a seasonm, but after awhile, it gets revealed as empty, hollow, and self-destructive- Wishy Washy liberal ‘religious people’ preach an anythign goes religiosity these days, thinking peopel will flock to that- and htey might- thinking sin = ‘freedom’, and ‘enlightened thinking’, but htey will soonm learn that it’s as empty and shallow and hollow a goal as ever there was one. People tryign to ‘find htemselves’ wil lrealize that that which they are running from IS their true self- The world can only offer emptiness and despair- regardless of how ‘enlightening’, and ‘freeing’ and ‘liberating’ it may appear-

How so? Is it the role of the public schools to teach children how to live their lives WITH God?

You missed the point...it’s unconstitutional for them to teach children God isn’t allowed in science class, or public school...or any such liberal lunacy of the sort!

“They tear down God’s Word at its very basic foundation..”In the beginning, God..””

That’s not at all inconsistent with evolution.

You left out alot.

So says you, I consider this a very narrow view. Evolution is a good way of seeing how “the earth brought forth” but doesn’t at all relate to the soul, spirit, or our relationship with God.

Well, you conveniently overlooked the fact that this is the way it’s presented in the indoctrination centers:

purposeless, randon, sheer happenstance, without design, without intelligence...people are merely great apes...

“...it’s unconstitutional for them to teach children God isn’t allowed in science class...”

If the schools taught that evolution was God’s method, then I’d be OK with that. However, I prefer science classes the way they now are. I have no objection to offering religion classes, though.

“I’m a proud Christian.”

Only if you’re an oxymoron personified! Pride and Christianity are mutually exclusive.

You apparently are either unaware or disinterested in
just how arrogant and dismissive your posts are.

Perhaps your superior intellect clouds your ability to
show humility. This is something of a problem as it is
generally considered to be a characteristic of Christian
behavior.

Disagreement does not constitute arrogance and dismissiveness.

So are you saying then that you DO want Christian scripture taught as science, right? And when did secular humanists separate Christianity from state liberals? More importantly, have you notified the authorities?
