I like seeing this non-compliance against tyranny.

Does Pritzker and the rest of the gun-grabbing communists in Illinois intend to arrest every gun owner who refuses to comply?

There are 2.4 million Americans in IL that should be fully exercising their God given rights.

High-level examples will be made. The rest will either capitulate... or...

Put those arms to use.

The law is unconstitutional and will be declared as such before January 1, 2024.

"...According to police statistics, a total of 1,618 gun owners have registered 4,678 banned firearms..."

(Raises hand) So if they already have the information, what does registration even do for the state? Further, if they don't have the data on individuals owning these (ahem) 'assault weapons', then how could they prosecute?

No, just enough to terrorize the others into compliance. It's one of those "tool to use" arrangements empowering selective enforcement against anyone the government decides it doesn't like. It will be rigidly enforced against anyone who attempts to use such a firearm in self defense, especially against a member of a class the government has decided it does like.

My guess is that the intent of the law is to get as many idiots as possible to self register on an illegal gun registry before it is slapped down in court.

Law most likely will be slapped down, but once on a list they will NEVER come off. The list will never be destroyed.

Same with Connecticut and Massachusetts. Although the NE companies have been there for over a hundred years in some cases, and the culture of their respective states has gone into the terlet relative to firearms since they started business.

Our supreme court already said it was A-OK. SCOTUS has to pick it up next for anything to change.

After the EXACT SAME GUN BAN was struck down in Commiefornia earlier this week, it's just a matter of time until the 7th Circuit Court judge who's already heard arguments to strike it down here in HELLINOIS does the same thing.

I listened to the arguments online, the judges questions in the HELLINOIS case and his rebuttal of the IL Attorney General certainly indicate (to me) the HELLINOIS case is going to uphold the USSC ruling and strike down the IL Supreme Court's "finding" that the un-Constitutional law, was Constitutional.

With that, what kind of DUMBASS registers their weapons?

The state of HELLINOIS has NO IDEA who owns the 'banned weapons' and unless they go get every sales record dating back YEARS from every gun shop in HELLINOIS and starts going through them, they aren't going to find them.

So for those dumbasses who are registring their "banned weapons" what exactly do you think JB Prickster is going to do with your data once the 7th Circuit Court strikes him down?

Delete it?! ROFL! Hell no.

Incorrect. It goes through the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals first, who's already assigned a judge and that judge sure sounds like he's going to strike it down.

IF he doesn't, THEN it goes to the USSC.
