Those guns will be needed to confront the enemy, and we all know who the enemy is. Of course, I heard that from the grapevine.

WTF is a Firearm Owner’s Identification card? I have to have a card BEFORE I can by any gun in Hellinois?

And the beauty of this is you can’t be charged with having an unregistered firearm after Jan 1 because that would be forcing you tor provide evidence against yourself and violate your 5th Amendment rights.

“Anyone who fails to register their guns could be charged with a Class 2 felony.”

Bring it. Go ahead and try to lock up half the state. Who is going to pay the taxes then?

Nah, those are just the ones who registered. Those are by no means the only “banned firearms” owners in the state. There must be hundreds of thousands more.

Well, before you can buy one legally.

If you just want to buy one, you can do a private sale and tell Illinois to stuff it, but then you are going to have problems if they catch you with it.

So if they already have the information, what does registration even do for the state?

Registering a banned firearm would self-indict the gun owner of admitting he has said banned firearm.

I think it's a trap.

I disagree. They were good at ambush, and pretty good at guerilla warfare; but they were nowhere near the caliber of the Comanche, who were probably the greatest light cavalry this continent has ever seen. Also, the Apache were terrified of the Comanche, and with good reason.

Good Points...
I’m partial as I’m in Arizona.
So much information on Apache and
Their techniques that they were perfectly adapted to this brutal environment.

The Comanche drove the Apache from the Great Plains and into the Southwest (primarily Arizona and New Mexico). And once the Comanche solidified their dominance over Comancheria (present-day Texas, Oklahoma, eastern New Mexico, southwest Kansas, and southeast Colorado), they were the unrivaled masters of the Southern Plains. They scared the s**t out of everyone; Indians, Mexicans, and whites alike.

Yes, the Apache adapted to the harsh environment of Arizona because they had no choice; but one has to admire the fact that they DID adapt. They were savage and cruel; but pikers in that regard when compared to the Comanche. The Apache feared the Comanche, and the Comanche despised the Apache. What both tribes had in common — and what was their eventual downfall — were their low numbers: Infant mortality was high, and both tribes sought to at least maintain their numbers by taking captives, especially children, and adopting those captive children into their respective tribes. Any adults that were taken captive were most often disposed of as sport and entertainment, usually in a most horrific manner; or kept as slaves (which was a short-lived existence).

Interesting...
I’ve camped at “Cochises’ Stronghold” near
Tombstone several times while reading books years ago. I’m in Yavapai County now and it’s a higher elevation lots of trees.
Seems the US move West just rolled over our native Brothers. The Navajo did OK.
Comanche were tough.

As we just saw in Israel, gun confiscation is simply enabling rape.
