(AP) The Black Lives Matter movement hits a milestone on Thursday, marking 10 years since its 2013 founding in response to the acquittal of the man who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
Gunned down in a Florida gated community where his father lived in 2012, Martin was one of the earliest symbols of a movement that now wields influence in politics, law enforcement and broader conversations about racial progress in and outside the U.S. BLM activists and organizations plan to mark a decade of the movement with in-person and virtual events. Calls to action include a renewed push to defund police departments and reinvest in Black communities that have suffered disproportionately from police brutality, unequal treatment in criminal justice systems and mass incarceration.

Here’s an idea:
Give them exactly what they want. Withdraw ALL POLICE from their neighborhoods, no patrols, no 911 calls, no PO-PO AT ALL.
I guarantee you within a month they will be begging for them to come back...................

Oh brother. Any problems caused by police are one-millionth of their self-inflicted problems. There are more shooting deaths of blacks in Chicago in the average weekend than occur by police in a year in the entire USA.
I have wondered about the financial irregularities of Black Lives Matter. I heard they are suspected of having broken some laws, regarding the use of charitable donations to their organization. And they are definitely in violation of laws, regarding required financial reporting to governmental organizations.
The women who started Black Lives Matter are self described trained Marxists, so that right there is a red flag about these people.
I have sometimes told people, that I believe the lives of black people matter, but that I don’t support the organization named Black Lives Matter.
the biggest danger to young black men in this country, is other young black men with guns.
But we aren’t allowed to say that. We aren’t allowed to say that many black men killed on injured in police activity, had brought their problems on themselves due to their own criminal activity. We aren’t allowed to say that homicide committed on black men, by other black men, happens far more frequently than these police encounters.
Instead, we are supposed to feel White Guilt, and atone for that guilt by contributing our hard earned money to Black Lives Matter, to prove that we are down with the cause.
BLM didn’t get the memo. The Left wants to pin the “Defund the Police” on the Republicans.

Said round went up through the abdomen and rattled around then out of upper abdomen. Fatal, and adjudicated after a lengthy trial by State’s Attorney— not guilty, self defense.
Financially- BLM has been bankrupted by its own leadership, embezzling money for many homes/real estate. Scandalous.
Also, keep in mind that any donations sent to BLM from online goes directly the the DNC through their organization called ActBlue... the ‘blue wave’ of demonrat scam artists.Blacks got their skim of the money fronting this to ActBlue. Yadda yadda— victims yadda.... George Floyd, fentanyl addict couldn’t breathe because of his OD, not a cop proven to have NOT been sitting on his chest. But, no matter...”victim”. Police arrested the socialist mayor of South Fulton, Georgia, this weekend, after he illegally trespassed into a resident’s home.
Khalid Kamau, a vocal Democratic Socialist and cofounder of the Atlanta chapter of Black Lives Matter, is charged with first-degree trespass and burglary after a homeowner caught him entering his home on Saturday.
Homeowner Jack Lecroy said he confronted Kamau with his gun after he received a security alert on his phone that someone was on his property. Kamau began to walk away from the house and Lecroy shouted for him to stop and wait for police.
“I don’t have to listen to you, and you can’t give me orders,” the socialist mayor yelled in response, according to police reports. He then screamed profanities at the homeowner. He later said that he wanted to see the home because he’d like to live there and was aware that he was criminally trespassing.
“The City of South Fulton is committed to upholding the law and ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their position, are subject to the same fair and just treatment. As the investigation is still ongoing, we are unable to provide further details at this time,” the city said in a statement. Councilwoman Natasha Williams-Brown will step in to serve as acting mayor.
Kamau has served as the leader of the Atlanta chapter of Democratic Socialists of America and advocates for socialism.
“Democratic Socialists believe our country should be run by real, working people—not big corporations & billionaires,” Kamau says on his website. He further calls for defunding police and cutting military spending.

“According to an incident report obtained by Channel 2, Kamau decided to venture onto a private property on Cascade Palmetto Highway because he was interested in purchasing the home there, he told police. The homeowner then confronted Kamau, pulled out a gun and told him to stay until authorities arrived, the report stated. The mayor said he believed the residence was abandoned, according to the news station.”

I felt BLM discredited itself when it got involved in Middle Eastern affairs, and took the side of the Palestinians against the Israelis.
With that their activists turned into white racists, because some Israelis are black, thanks to immigration from Ethiopia and South Africa in recent decades, while all Palestinians are white.
