Marilyn Monroe and Hugh Hefner were born in the same year and buried in the same graveyard. But as Louise Perry points out in her book “The Case Against the Sexual Revolution,” they met completely different fates.
Marilyn died a tortured sex symbol of the burgeoning sexual revolution, while Hefner lived large as the quintessential playboy, capitalizing on the same sexual liberalism.
“The story of the sexual revolution isn’t only a story of women freed from the burdens of chastity and motherhood, although it is that,” Perry writes. “It is also a story of the triumph of the playboy — a figure who is too often both forgotten and forgiven.”

“Men and women are different.”
bottom line
I find women who use sex for validation to be odd. It is not an achievement of any kind to find a willing male even for the obese. The achievement is to find somebody willing to stick around after a one night stand, which ain’t gonna happen. Perhaps I am old fashioned, I have never engaged in one night stands with a few exceptions on drunken international trips when I was in my early 20s, but in the real world, a woman who would try to sleep with me on a first date is a huuuuuuuge turn off, no matter how “hot” she is externally.
While we are on the subject, we should repeal the 19th amendment. A female voter is always going to vote for big government which will lead to tyranny.
“but in the real world, a woman who would try to sleep with me on a first date is a huuuuuuuge turn off, no matter how “hot” she is externally.”
Must be hard to fit all those $100 bills in your diamond wallet.
UNTRUE. Just stop it.
sex without consequence, and all the things which spin from it, are without exception, damaging to women.
A big government is necessary to support a single mother with children.
What happens these days:
Girls spend their 20’s having sex with exciting and desirable men, who would never had any interest in them if “no-strings” sex was not being offered.
When they hit 30, they look around for some chump to marry their much-used body, and become bitter and angry when it doesn’t happen.
“UNTRUE. Just stop it.”
Is it? Not so sure any more. Both JFK and Clinton (and to a certain extent Obama) were elected on the women vote.
I have felt for a long time that Hefner’s vision for sex has been a downfall for women. The advantage pretty much goes to the guys in this one - free sex and if the woman gets pregnant she kills the baby. But ...I think most women are different in the long run - we have a nature that wants an enduring relationship with the right person and destroying your own child is something that many regret in retrospect.
Too many women gave up their leverage too easily. Too many women thought we are just like men...when actually God has assigned us a different role..and to me it’s a fabulous role - to give life to and raise the next generation.
Not all women are like that - this was my point.
I think each person who applies for “head of the household” or “Indivual” income taxes, when filing taxes, should be allowed to vote. Anyway. Fantasy land stuff.
Good Day
“if it hadn’t been for these new-fashioned morals, there wouldn’t be all these new-fashioned kids, looking for their papas” - or something to that effect from Archie Bunker

agreed; should instead read 90% will vote for the security of authority...though, as Hilary Clinton famously noted, their husbands may disabuse them of this habit...
Then they “become” lesbians.
Who wants to eat off another man’s dirty plate?
You should watch those ‘broad strokes’ ...
Good point. Those who paid taxes. Not the ones receiving benefits. You too sir.
I think women, in general, had happier lives when they married in their early 20’s.
I never understood the adoration of Clinton - he seemed too slimy to me. And I think he has ugly hands.
My sister met him - she had a photo of both him and Gore oggling her. She said Clinton had incredible charisma...but I never trusted him.
