I didn’t know insurance would cover criminal activity.
Intentionally bad acts are not covered by insurance. Most states have statutory or common law prohibitions against insuring acts undertaken intentionally, with the intent to cause harm. Society simply does not permit a gross wrongdoer to profit by shifting financial responsibility for inherently bad acts to an insurance company.

It’s not bogus. It’s a code word. Although, we don’t know what the insurance means.
I think the biggest take away is that this is now being leaked. Durham and Barr have kept this buttoned up tight, there have been almost no leaks about what they were doing. Investigations have to be sealed until they are over, and then they become public knowledge.
If they are leaking, it’s done. If we ever are going to see indictments. the time is now.
I believe that the professional liability insurance would be to defray costs of mounting a legal defense for claims against them for malpractice as attorneys.

Professional liability insurance can be bought via multiple companies. You can multiple in millions in coverage. Most exempt federal employees can request the government pay a portion of the cost (I think the .gov will cover 100 per year)
Helps defend the person against lawsuits if the .gov throws you under the bus.
They won’t but most of the time these things get aired in civil suits.
