All of the store workers have masks and gloves plus there is a cleaner who is constantly wiping down the cash register areas. They ask that you pay with a card if possible to limit the amount of cash they have to handle.
I go out to the stores several times a week because we'd rather live off what they are stocking and save what we have stored away in case things break down, plus there are plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables for my wife. One thing I notice is that you very rarely hear anyone coughing. Families are sending their healthiest people out to do the shopping.
When the outbreak first started we had 5 cases right away, all tied to the local medical clinic. The next week they reported 2 more cases related to that same incident. Not one new case since then. For a town of 27,000 residents that's not too shabby.
Connecticut has already implemented this. Not a big issue. Those who keep the shelves stocked and cash you out deserve our thanks. They are on the front line also.
The facial recognition camera systems need a distance for processing speed. Too many images too fast and they can’t process the image to database in real time with any reliable accuracy.
.
sounds like ya’ll have it down pretty good there- stay safe-
Maybe they could put in a constantly moving conveyor belt, with chairs and baskets fixed to it every six feet, that would wind up and down every aisle in serpentine fashion. You get one ride per visit, and must grab whatever you are looking for as you pass by. Miss anything, and you have to come back for it tomorrow. They could even put in a viewing gallery on the second floor, and sell tickets for socially-distanced seats from which to view the ensuing chaos.
I think Ive been inside too long.
this has got to stop.....this has gone on too long....
okay comrade...
Are you following little tape arrows up and down the aisles, too?
I am.
/cattle chute shopping spree
Ours already have.
No one is following them but I did try.
The aisles were empty so I started backing down the aisle I needed to be in.
I was still facing the arrow pointer, so wth.
Because of all those reported outbreaks that have happened at grocery stores, amirite?
We know where outbreaks and transmissions happen...in close contact where people talk to, work with or live with an infected person and in big crowds like concerts and churches where people are sitting or standing close by lots of people.
While transmission is possible elsewhere theoretically, it isn’t being documented and it definitely would not happen in large or unmanageable numbers. Walking past an infected person is very unlikely to offer an opportunity to transmit the disease.
The point of these shutdowns was, I thought, to not overwhelm the health care system. That means you shut down things where a large outbreak could happen. Not things where only very minimal transmission could potentially happen.
This is very much like the 1980s AIDS scare now where people were thinking you could catch it from anywhere. The paranoia has to stop.
I was at my local Safeway and Best Buy. They weren’t letting people go in freely. After they allowed whatever number they decided was the max, people had to wait outside 6 feet apart and they only allowed them in as people came out, on a one person to person basis.
Completely stupid, imo.
There have been 63 deaths of the Chinese flu in North Carolina since they started keeping count.
As many as 55 of those deaths may have been improperly attributed to Covid19, according to a growing number of physicians.
Both Birx and Fauci confirmed yesterday that deaths WITH Covid19 are being counted as death FROM Covid19 - which is NOT standard medical practice. The two bureaucrats defender the practice on the basis that they believe it is better to to err on the side of inclusion vs. exclusion.
When the American people find out deaths were exaggerated by 800% in order to scare people into complying with the economic shut-down, there is going to be hell to pay.
I hope President Trump blows the whistle on this SOON and lets people go back to work.
Those people are truly insane and don’t have a clue as to what they are asking. They fully don’t even understand what is happening as the soon to be here economic depression is quickly picking up steam.
Hysterical!
Those decisions will be made by the governors. They are the ones who decided to close it down and issued the stay at home order and it will be governors who open it up again.
So you’re ok with this?
Hope your safety measures are worth it.
LMAO
It is madness.
I’m shocked so many are not only ok with it but are cheering it.
Madness.
With the stricter new rules there will be no sex in grocery stores from now on
