All of the store workers have masks and gloves plus there is a cleaner who is constantly wiping down the cash register areas. They ask that you pay with a card if possible to limit the amount of cash they have to handle.
I go out to the stores several times a week because we'd rather live off what they are stocking and save what we have stored away in case things break down, plus there are plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables for my wife. One thing I notice is that you very rarely hear anyone coughing. Families are sending their healthiest people out to do the shopping.
When the outbreak first started we had 5 cases right away, all tied to the local medical clinic. The next week they reported 2 more cases related to that same incident. Not one new case since then. For a town of 27,000 residents that's not too shabby.
