A number of people in politics, the media and elsewhere are openly speculating that if Democrats wind up with a brokered convention, with no strong or viable nominee evident, Hillary Clinton might enter the arena as the savior who could unite the delegates and go on to defeat President Donald Trump.
Clinton herself seemed to throw shade at that theory during an interview with Variety at the Sundance Film Festival. When asked about the urge to beat Trump, the former Democratic nominee said: Yeah, I certainly feel the urge because I feel the 2016 election was a really odd time and an odd outcome. But Im going to support the people who are running now and do everything I can to help elect the Democratic nominee.
Several politically savvy Democrats have told me that everything may be a much more plausible and powerful scenario.
That is, Clinton and/or her team could be negotiating with former vice president Joe Biden, former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg or the last candidate standing to join the ticket as vice president. She would add the gravitas, delegates and, eventually, millions of votes needed to get them over the finish line on Nov. 5. I am assured that Clinton is on every short list for that position.
If I were in Trumps world, this scenario would send chills down my spine.
There is no doubt that the former first lady, New York senator and secretary of State once again is raising her profile and stepping back into the spotlight to re-engage in political discussions.

wasn’t enough he didn’t pursue having her arrested?
She reminds me of a female praying mantis. Be careful how you court her. You could lose your head and your life.
No president is interested in having to compete with a high profile VP who doesn’t know their place. Would Hillary be willing to quietly stand in the shadows and perform mundane assignments of no real import? Would someone like her be content to play a supporting role while the lead character gets all the attention? Unlikely IMO.
She is a narcissist and an insatiable publicity hound. On top of that, she cannot be trusted. People like that are not a reliable political partner.
I thought she’d enter the presidential race about a week or two ago, her strategy being to avoid the scrutiny of the debates and just be anointed and hailed as the savior.
Agree. Please see my #23.
I dont want her in the Naval Observatory. Hillary is an accident waiting to happen.
Job Biden can be shoved aside under the 25th Amendment.
Hillary would be pleased to be Joe’s Vice President.
I wouldn’t want to be the President!!!!
At least his reelection campaign won’t cost him anything :)
Her health doesnt allow her to battle for the nomination. Hillary is counting on it being handed to her at a brokered convention.
Impossible. How can she support anyone if she can’t walk unassisted.
Oh medic, gurney stat...
The "woke" ghetto culture, drug-dealing culture, and thug culture terms and phrases that have been pushed into our language over the past 20 to 30 years is depressing. Our culture and our language are being shoved to a very low common denominator by the MSM and what passes for the educational system of the country.
If she’s awake, she’s scheming.
Thatd be the kiss of death.
Arranging Bidens resignation would be a simple matter of pulling the strings. And hes not in a position to object.
She’s angling to become the nominee via open primary.
If I were in Trumps world, this scenario would send chills down my spine.
Good thing for Trump youre not in his world. Whatever that even means.
Because youre a 14 karat moron.
I know enough actuarial science to place the odds of the President’s death within one year of inauguration at 100% if Hillary is VP.
“Her health doesnt allow her to battle for the nomination. Hillary is counting on it being handed to her at a brokered convention.”
That’s what I think.
Politicians live by poll numbers.
If the numbers favor her on a ticket, she’ll pounce.
In the meantime, she’ll spend some time calling superdelegates for some friendly chats.
Indeed. Not only would you have to be stupid, you would have to have a suicide wish.
