** 23 police officers have been gunned down this year, so far, in the line of duty. The panderers at the Democratic National Committee passed a resolution on Friday supporting the Black Lives Matter mob movement. The resolution also condemns police in America for shooting unarmed black men. MSNBC reported:The Democratic National Committee passed a resolution Friday afternoon supporting the Black Lives Matter movement at the party’s summer meeting. The national party also affirmed a resolution supporting same-sex marriage in every state and another honoring the son of Vice President Joe Biden, Beau Biden, who passed away in May. Activists...

Even if the Democrats had a strong candidate running, after eight years of the worst President in American history, the smart money would still have to be on a Republican winning the presidency in 2016. Unfortunately for the Left, instead of a strong candidate Democrats have a crook and a Commie dogfighting it out to be their nominee. With that as a background, you start to understand why Democrats could view a candidate as ridiculous as Joe Biden as a potential savior. Of course for Democrats, the problem with having Joe Biden defeat Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders to become...

The Democratic Party on Friday adopted a call to raise the minimum wage to $15/hr as part of their established party platform heading into the 2016 election season. The move further polarizes the progressive wing of the party by moving them further to the left of both the Republican Party, and corporate centrist Democrats such as Hillary Clinton. In response to the Democratic Party’s vote, Terrence Wise, a Kansas City, Mo. McDonald’s and Burger King Worker and member of the National Organizing Committee of the Fight for $15, issued the following statement.

Republican presidential front-runner said Thursday that his plans to improve the economy for black Americans is why he is leading in the polls with black voters, though at least one recent poll disputes Trump's claim. "I lead with almost every group. including with the African-American groups," Trump told reporters at an event in Greenville, South Carolina. "I have tremendous support." Quinnipiac University released a national poll Thursday showing that while Trump is leading the Republican Party nationally, he is polling poorly with black Americans in the general election. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." You may be reading this sometime after breakfast, and six is a pretty large number of impossible things. The Quinnipiac University poll, released Thursday, also shows Donald Trump smashing the GOP presidential competition garnering 28% support from registered Republican voters in the 17-member field. The real estate mogul's closest competitor is retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who tallies 12%. Just 7% said they would vote for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, a record low since November 2013. Those results show just how far both Trump -- now the Republican front-runner -- and Bush -- the old one -- have come. Bush led national polls for much of the first half of 2015, but was quickly dislodged by Trump, after...

President Barack Obama is the man in the middle, caught between the White House aspirations of two of his closest advisers: Vice President Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. For months, White House officials expected Clinton to be the Democratic nominee in the 2016 election. Some of Obama's top political advisers moved to New York to run her campaign and Obama appeared to give his tacit approval, saying she would be an "excellent president." But that bet on Clinton suddenly looks less certain. With Biden weighing his own presidential run more seriously amid signs of weakness...

According to the Iowa secretary of state’s website, which monitors the votes in real-time, more than 52 percent of Democrats who have cast a vote in the straw poll say they support Sanders. Actual title: Exclusive — Donald Trump Expects to Face VP Joe Biden in General Election: Hillary Clinton’s ‘Big League’ Email Scandal Will Force Her Out NEW YORK CITY, New York — Should billionaire and GOP frontrunner Donald Trump win the Republican primary in 2016—as he certainly wants to do—he expects he will face Vice President Joe Biden in the general election since he thinks the current email scandal plaguing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will eventually knock her out of the race. When asked in a wide-ranging interview with Breitbart News in his office on the 26th floor of...

Forget the Twitter blog for emoji responses to how millennials feel about student debt. As the New York Daily News’ Alejandro Alba notes, the condescending approach didn’t generate much respect from Hillary Clinton’s target audience. The beleagured Democrat tried to shift attention to policy from the e-mail scandal, focusing on her $350 billion proposal to overhaul higher-education finances, which is in a shambles largely due to federal government intervention in the first place.Mission not accomplished: While some users thought the question was “relatable,” others believed the question was offensive and condescending. Many users began to reply to the tweet with...

A Cruz/Warren race is the election America deserves. A Trump/Biden race is the election America wants.Dude, I think this is happening. From his vacation spot on Kiawah Island, Mr. Biden is giving the strongest signal yet that he is actively considering making a third run at the presidency. He is asking political allies for advice and gauging the strength of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign as he weighs his options, people familiar with the matter said. Mr. Biden is expected to announce his decision next month…He’d have to start from scratch. Mr. Biden has no super PAC to back his candidacy...

Five months ago, his team said he was out, but just when you think you’re out … they pull you back in. Maybe, that is, as Al Gore’s advisers aren’t actually saying he’s even thinking seriously about a presidential run. However, since the other relic from four terms ago isn’t faring well these days, suddenly a progressive nation turns its lonely eyes to the man who couldn’t clinch the gimme in 2000: Gore, 67, won the popular vote in the 2000 election, and has been mentioned as a possible candidate in every contested Democratic primary since then. He instead...

Santa Cruz police are searching for a man who allegedly photographed a naked 7-year-old girl in a public shower on July 13. The girl was rinsing off her body near the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf and Beach Street around 5:15 p.m. when a restaurant worker noticed an older white man, who looked to be in his late sixties, apparently snapping pictures, according to KSBW. The man was described as 5’8”, with white hair, a cowboy hat and a sleeveless T-shirt. Anyone with information is asked to call Santa Cruz police at 831-420-5820.

August has become The Joe Biden Season — at least in the media. With Hillary Clinton faltering, news outlets have begun ramping up their coverage of the Vice President as a suddenly rational alternative to the coronation everyone has expected from the Democrats until recently. There doesn’t seem to be much evidence that Bidenmania extends much further than the political commentariat, however. National Journal’s Sarah Mimms and Alex Brown checked in with Biden’s former colleagues in the Senate Democratic caucus, who are underwhelmed by the prospect of Biden 2016: “I love Joe!” was the refrain on Capitol Hill Monday...

RUSH: A new Fox poll out yesterday, last night shows Donald Trump is just soaring. Trump is gaining ground on everybody in the GOP field and over Hillary. It's a Fox News poll, NBC poll, and in both of these polls, Hillary, the bottom is starting to fall out identically, exactly as it started to happen in 2008. And that's why the Democrats are starting to push out these stories about what a great guy Biden is and those gaffes that he makes, why, they just make him more lovable. That's old Joe. Telling the guy in a wheelchair to...

Joe Biden, who is considering a run for president, posed today in front of reporters with Samantha Power, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Should Biden decide to run for president, he'd face Hillary Clinton, whom Power called a "monster" in the 2008 campaign.

Maureen Dowd's column over the weekend -- which reported that Beau Biden's dying wish was that his father run for president in 2016 -- has started anew a debate over whether the Vice President should or will make the race. There's tons of conflicting reporting on that question; some people are highlighting the fact that a longtime fundraiser for Beau has signed onto a draft effort for the vice president while others note that Biden has done nothing that would indicate he is moving toward the contest. Divining what's accurate and what's wishful thinking in all of this is made...
