65 y/o Judge Mark J. Bennett was appointed in July and is a Social Liberal.

Sorry. At some point, you have to take responsibility for the people you hire and put into positions of authority. And at some point, the buck has to stop at the top. Many of Trump's problems are self-inflicted because he hired bad people...and saying that's not his fault is passing the buck. It's a cop-out. Real leaders don't do that. They own everything.
If President Trump defers to his son-in-law, this is on Trump himself.

None of them come to fruition. Either the advice is bad, or the President is asleep.
Well, Trump is getting bad advice and most of it comes from Kushner.
Because the 9th Circuit covers so many states, certain seats are, by long tradition, reserved for certain states. Bennett filled the vacancy of the Hawaii seat. He was the Republican Attorney General of Hawaii from 2003-2010. There are not exactly a lot of conservative Republicans in Hawaii, so Bennett was the best pick for that seat.
