Again, Trump exercises a timid restraint of his powers that no Democrat would ever do.

**************

Unfortunately true. He is oddly reluctant to remove people. Exhibit A is Rod Rosenstein who, incredibly, is still in his job. If there ever was someone who deserved to be fired it is him. Yet he remains ensconsed in his powerful position.

An other oddity is Trump’s refusal to declassify and release the FISA docs. Despite saying he would “immediately declassify” them they remain hidden from public view. Again, if ever there was a set of documents that deserved to be made public this was it.

As you say, Trump exercises a timid restraint of his powers. At times he seems to relish tweets over action.

Trump better not screw this up

Somehow I feel he might. His one huge fault is trying to be nice to his enemies to convince them to like his ideas. It doesn't work.

Hello? Who gave Jared Kushner the access and influence that he enjoys? If my son-in-law was a liberal dipshit, I certainly wouldn’t rely on his input for a decent chardonnay.

I’m beginning to think Trump has turned into a Bush.

“Trump better not screw this up”

Or what? His uncritical supporters abandon him? I don’t think so. The clock on his presidency is running out, if we do not see shovels in the dirt within a fortnight following his SOTU, he’s toast IMHO.

“He’s a business-man. He delegates.”

Presumably in his business life he made sure to be surrounded by competent people who shared his goals. No sensible person could assert that he has behaved so in the Presidency. He has been appalling in his disinterest in staffing, leaving many influential slots unfilled or worse, filled with Obama holdovers, a la Rod Rosenstein.

“It’s not Trump that’s the problem, it’s liberal puke Jared Kushner!!”

Of course Kushner is a liberal puke, but it is Trump’s problem if he allows this liberal puke to undermine him at every turn. If Trump does not see this as a problem, then Trump is the problem.

“That is exactly how the leftist media wants you to feel.”

I know, BUT DAMN!

Trump’s main go to guy here should be McConnell...

not Feinstein and Harris.

Trump needs to get it in gear.

Look to the Air Pelosi junket to Davos for an explanation.

VSG President Trump is waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Trust the plan

It doesn’t matter whether Jacobson and Limbaugh are quoting National Review, Breitbart or the Congressional Record itself. It’s a known, provable fact that he hasn’t pushed through, or even renominated, these judges. There’s no excuse for that, given how many states are subject to the Ninth Circuit and how many of their decisions are not taken up by the SCotUS.

From reply number 9 by House Atreides:

Graham needs to be replaced.

I agree with you 100%. I, as a South Carolinian, hoped that a committee chairmanship would help Linda. Nope, still the same old Linda, more interested in politicking than working.

Replacing Linda is problematic:We have lots of good, strong Conservatives in South Carolina that would be light years better than linda in the Senate.

South Carolina having open primaries is the problem. During the primaries, several people, some much better than linda, will run opposing linda. But on primary voting day the RATS cross over in droves and vote for linda. linda wins the primary and, since SC is a strong red state, goes on the win the election.

The SC legislature is beginning to grow some balls and is making noise about going to closed primaries.

Can't happen soon enough for me and lots of other Republican voters. But until the law is changed, linda has a job for life and she knows it.

That's right, TheNext. Good comment. We can't know Trump's longer term strategy. And he needs people like Coulter and Rush to get upset so the Libs believe the trades Trump made to get his Smart Wall are painful to conservatives.

Trust the Plan if you so choose, but with Trump you can absolutely Trust the Man. He's the best Negotiator we have ever seen.

Look at North Korea, look at 2016, look at the economy, look at NAFTA, look at China getting the message on trade. God's leaning on this guy's shoulders. Trust him, support him. You bet.
