There are STILL Vietnamese who lean left, after all their people have been through??? Good Lord, turn out the lights, we’re doomed.
Ironic that Vietnam is becoming an expat haven for retirees from around the world.
And did you notice the stated reason for why there was a big migration of refugees in the 70s from Vietnam to the US? Because of the USAF bombing of Vietnam.
That's right! It was our Air Force that drove the S Vietnamese boat people to escape.
Is that what the Zinn-ized / Chomsky-ized school history classes are teaching these days?
I’m not inclined to want to send them back to Communist Vietnam.
I don’t think they’d get a very nice welcome from Vietnam.
I’ve seen this too. Younger Vietnamese are very liberal, even though their families are traditional. I witnessed on young girl (maybe 20) gush about transsexuals, of all things. The kicker is she was a very smart engineering student.
So Tung Nguyen, probably a permanent green card holder, was suckered into becoming an activist and committing crimes which could probably lead to revocation of status and deportation if arrested in the future. Getting arrested and convicted multiple times happens to a lot of activists. Usually too late they realize they were just used, by then they've lost eligibility for student loans, can't get a job, and the non-citizens are probably eligible for instant deportation with no second chances (whereas before they could have been naturalized). Meanwhile the community organizers are in the schools brainwashing the next generation into dupes and actively suppressing any opposition. It's a pointless tragedy.
Please ping me with any Southern California related articles. Thank you!

Generally 1st generation Vietnamese immigrants are solid Patriotic American citizens.
We lived in Southern CA when they were brought into Camp Pendleton pending their final settlement in apartment houses around OC. Watched the building over the years of the community known as Little Saigon in Westminster. They weren’t idle but always working. They bought homes.
Can’t help but wonder if that South Vietnam General is still alive and living there. Guess he was the PM...and commander of the South Vietnamese Air Force...this doesn’t speak of him as a general. He got a lot of attention amid all the refugees settling there.
