A now old friend of mine who came in ‘75 as a young teenager failed to get citizenship. He started the process several times.I coached him through one of those efforts. He is a highly paid welder at the shipyard and trains new welders in advanced techniques. He used to also get into bar fights and spend short times in jail which aborted his efforts. When Trump first said he was ready to ship some Vietnamese refugees back who had not got their citizenship Long Lê swore off drinking and bars and is working at Citizenship again. His wife and daughter are Citizens. Maybe he will make it this time.
