Hmmm. Have you ever noticed how all our esteemed "leaders" around the globe natter on and on about spreading democracy, the world will be safer if there are more democracies, democracy breeds freedom, so forth and etc.

On March 17th, 2003 I heard a different word, a word ignored by most of the political class, one that made me sit up; it even raised the hair on the back of my neck. It is a word for the most electrifying idea in history. It is what makes this country the most radical on this earth, something conveniently forgotten by the fascists and socialists and the dictators and the communists, and all the others who think of the people as masses, not individuals.

That word is "Liberty".

That darned President Bush. Brashly spreading the blessings of liberty in the midst of an ultimatum. I'm a sucker for a guy who remembers liberty matters. You can tell the guy means what he says.

Liberty. The UN had better hide under it's chairs. There's a whirlwind coming.
