Please enlighten me why Cruz is +8 and Abbott is +20 in Texas.

I doubt there is no crossover with folks voting R.

Bingo

“Well, when that seat stays Democrat and Texas falls, I hope they’re proud. This doesn’t help President Trump at all.”

Cruz is a great senator and supporting Trump. Any panties should get unwadded by now. The Dems are throwing so much money at Bob because they would celebrate such a scalp. Anyone not for Cruz is not on Trump’s side. Bob is the beginning of Texas going CA and we cannot let that happen. Besides, he is a light weight male version of Ocasio-Cortez in Wonder Bread.

I mean, who cares if a senator is “unlikeable”? As long as he's an American constitutionalist, that's all that matters. Everything else is just talk.

#100. Exactly. When Buzzi Ginsburg steps down from SCOTUS (one way or another) we’ll need every Republican vote we can muster to push through President Trump’s nominee. Murkowski can go ice fishing.

1st of all Cruz is still leading and 2nd of all Cruz fired all his self inflicted wound shots. I believe the question was why is he doing less well.

“I did not realize GOP voters were this stupid...It is a binary poltical system.”

It was also binary in Nov. 2016, and actually much more important that it go our way...since Hillary would have packed the Supreme Court and other courts and had absolutely NO INTENTION of letting our side gain the top job again, and through her open borders and mass naturalizations that she promised, that would have been the case. So it was CRITICAL that our side stick together and vote for the only viable alternative, because there was never going to be a chance to go back and get it right. Some people had difficulty understanding the above.

But in my case, I voted for Trump in 2016 and last week I voted almost straight Republican, including voting for Cruz (but not for Jeb’s kid). I understand how important the Senate and House are and will not put the country at risk because of petty grievances.

My posting that you responded to is explaining why Cruz can’t slam the door on Beto...and the reason is that there are still a lot of people in Texas angry at Cruz, and a lot fewer people this year than 2014 who are actually excited (when Cruz was considered a solid conservative and won by 20 points, same as the governor).

If Ted wore a dress he would look and sound like a lot of people’s grandmas.

“If you support Trump, you go out and vote for every single R candidate no matter what. To not vote for Cruz is an act of infantile petulance, not principal.”

I will indeed be voting for every Republican.

...that said, it’s easy to say...” To not vote for Cruz is an act of infantile petulance, not principal.”

That has a ring of a Democrat who is wanting to call someone names until they do what the Democrat wants them to do.

It’s far better to use logic than to call names.

Ted Cruz made an mistake in not working with Pres Trump and now there may be terrible consequences.

While I hope that is not the case, we Republicans should never make the mistake of not seeing voters as private individuals but as Republican doormats.... that’s the job for Democrats...

I certainly hope voters can put aside their distaste for Sen Cruz’s past actions. I can, because I see the larger picture, not because I’m ‘owned’ by the Republican Party.

To: drop 50 and fire for effect

Even $60 million worth of lipstick wouldn’t make Lupe look good, plus she has a bad record. Beto is more of a blank sheet like 0bama was back in 2008.

Aside from being a foolish lie, that statement marks you for the troll you are.

It was Cruz and his campaign staff that won the Rust Belt for Trump, and Trump has acknowledged that fact.

Ted Cruz is a National asset.

Beto Pedo is dog doo.

Texas is not electing Jesus Christ. Forgiveness.

And Texas is not electing Pedo dog doo.

I agree Cruz didn’t help himself...as to why he ain’t doing better, it seems there are many on our side that would rather hurt him than help Trump...and us.

Rather nasty over a comment analyzing the Texas Senate race, aren’t you? Maybe an attitude like yours is why Cruz doesn’t do as well. You didn’t know there is an issue between Trump voters and Cruz? Wow.
