Does Shawn Hannity Share Much of the Blame for Defeat of Roy Moore?

Shawn Hannity did a number on Judge Roy Moore Senatorial campaign. Candidate Roy Moore allowed himself to be bushwhacked in a telephone interrogation on national television.

Hannnity acted as a prosecutor during the interview. How many Democrats when faced with a sexual scandal, encountered a prosecutorial styled interview? I cannot think of any.

Do you remember Steve Kroft's interview of the Clinton's, which was later called the "Stand by Your Man" interview because of Hillary's defense of Bill Clinton? They were all soft ball questions with no follow up. I wanted to smash my television! I wanted to smash my television because it was evident this was a damage control interview designed to put to rest the allegations of Bill Clinton's mistreatment of women.

Why did Hannity participate in the dismantling of Roy Moore? Did someone from the deep state give him a call? Why did Roy Moore agree to such a inquisition? I have to admit, the answers Moore gave were indeed creepy.

Never a prosecutorial styled interview of a Democrat! Double standard, brought to us this time by Shawn Hannity.

I saw the interview. Sean simply gave him a chance to tell his story and a platform from which to tell it, and Moore was squishy. Moore did this to himself.

Ok, Moore did it to himself. He confirmed he as a creep 38 years ago, IMHO.

Bill Clinton was a creep and also, possibly a rapist. Steve Kroft gave a softball interview designed to be disinformational.

Bill Clinton, the polished creep survived politically along with wifey, to plague the country for several decades. Roy Moore, the bush league creep did not. JMHO.

It was the sex abuse allegations that made just enough Alabama voters queasy and give Jones the win.

Agree, and possibly, well he should win after all as we haven’t had a D for eons, so my vote won’t matter much...

Pontius Pilate thinking...

we will never know how much money was spent to defeat Moore but we can account for about 30 million on the Republican side and about the same for Doug Jones.

Could end up being much more.

This is not the time to have a “history” with women. It’s that simple. A year from now someone could recover.

Hate to disagree with you POTUS, Mitch spent $30 million against Roy, and Soros spent another $20 million to defeat Roy. Bezos’s Post lied
about Roy, and the RNC pulled Roy’s funds. GOP lost seat! Mitch’s fault.
Better pass taxes before Jones is sworn in.

I don’t remember ever being this frustrated and I now feel Trump less than 50%
to be reelected. We conservatives will be lied about, our money used against us, the deep state isn’t being taken down by Sessions, or locking up Hillary, Flynn’s life and his son’s life in ruins.

The Swamp strikes back and Mc Turdle with only 15% Kentucky popularity is working with Chucky to obstruct Trump. Where are the recess appointments, the agency approvals that will lead to Obama’s people finally being let go and Trump people like you being hired?

Only a new Party can clean out this corruption. Not in my lifetime. Our country can’t be made great again with the Cheap labor express in charge, and Rinos bent on blocking control of our borders for cheap labor. Trump is a fine man but the Tea Party people like me had Mitch McConnell tearing us down defeating our reform candidates, and letting Lois Lerner and IRS hold up the 501c status for years.
Republicans still not going after IRS crimes because they hated us Tea Party people even though we got congress back in GOP hands.

All those debt’s Obama range up the GOP helped pass the Congress. Thanks to Mitch. All those jobs that went to Asia and Mexico Bush could have stopped.
All these illegals in MS13 and filling our jails are not Trump’s fault. All this for Cheap labor subsidized by tax payers footing the bill for abuse of subsidies to illegals thru fraud welfare, food stamps, stolen SS numbers.

The coast is clear to run good candidates? I don’t think so. The viciousness of the anti-Moore lynching party will serve to intimidate good candidates into becoming RINOs.

Was Moore a good candidate? Doesn’t seem as though he was.

I think he was a bad candidate to begin with who was unfairly attacked and that the only good use for a vanity is to hold a bathroom sink. And that if anyone bases their voting choices on what Hannity says, we are screwed.

That and The Law of Diminishing Returns on sex assault scandals will start to have a say soon enough.

Liberals don't think that way. They will use this over and over and over again. It works..........................

"Wasn’t Hannity. Wasn’t Moore"

Meant to say, "Wasn't Hannity. Wasn't Bannon."

Spot on regarding the Hannity interview. Hannity was trying to help Moore by lobbing up meatballs for Moore to hit out of the park. That Moore didn’t gave me great pause for concern of his campaign.

Regarding all the Soros and outside money: In politics money is of course the mother’s milk of politics, but message almost always beats money. As an indirect example, Scott Walker had tons of outside money spent against him in his recall election and he won.

Yes, but Moore also is to blame on how he answered: no, not generally dated young teens, and don’t remember but if I did then I did, and I always got mommy’s permission.

You nailed it. He did not do well in the Hannity interiew. It was clear he didn't want to admit to dating young girls but did not want to lie. His conflict was obvious.

Moore did it to himself. Hannity put some questions to Moore in which the answers should have been categorically “no”. It’s not Hannity’s fault that Moore had a thing for teenagers while in his mid-30’s. The whole point of the Hannity interview was for Moore to clear his name. Moore failed.

Agreed. Moore confirmed he was a creep.

Please, however, look up the Steve Kroft "Stand by Your Man" disinformational styled interview, and compare it to the Hannity prosecutorial styled interview. That is the point I am trying to make. Double standard.

This blame game is a futile exercise. The original mistake was Session’s appointment to the Attorney General position. Had Sessions stayed in the Senate, things would have been a lot better. Many will agree that a different Attorney General selection might have made things a lot different and probably a lot better for us.

That’s the biggest disappointment

Alabama voted in a Chuck Schumer senator with a southern accent and no kippah

Which means nowhere is a sure thing anymore

I’d like to see the stats on the vote

I’m assuming low our turnout

High their turnout

Soccer mom and post grad defections

And younger whites being more lib in general

Just guessing

Shocked me no question

You sound like Hillary Clinton's best friend LOOKING to PLACE BLAME.

As "Souled_Out" said in post #6.. "Alabama owns that $hit sandwich"

End of discussion.
