Are there any rules for states like NY that restricts magazine capacity? Would so called high capacity guns that are legal in a home state be legal in NY? I would love to see the Safe Act get crushed.

I have my concerns, primarily regarding state's rights to decide for themselves. What are your issues with it?

To my understanding, no, because you have to be able to obtain the permit from your own state of residency.

ive always preferred open carry, but YES on removing any of the damned ‘gun controls’.....they are unconstitional, dangerous, and only get good people in trouble while the criminals always have good weapons anyways

Would this mean Calif has to honor the Utah permit..?

First it would have to pass the Senate. Then it would have to survive the court challenges.

14 Rs vote no.14 Rs vote no.

They must be in purple districts that are trending blue. I can't imagine any Republican in a safe red district voting no on this. It would be political suicide.

The 2nd Amendment is NOT a “States Rights” issue. It’s baked right into the Constitution.

Gohmert voted no.

Holy cow. For what possible reason - states' rights?

The 2nd Amendment, like the rest of the Bill of Rights, were defined limitations of delegated authority to the newly established federal government.

“And then when your enemy is acting outside the limits the law, you have no basis to call them on it. Your guy did it too.”

Actually, the only way to get demondogs to obey the law is to break the law with impunity as they do.

Simply remind them, “You did this! So, shut up and eat it.”

At every turn rub their face in their own perfidy. Throw Saul Alinsky back at them until they repent and at least some of them go to prison.

I do not see how taking a vote when the opposing team has a member missing violates the constitution - x% of those present, seems to me to be the criteria.

Maybe unsportsman-like, but... mud.

Since when are the states allowed to violate the bill of rights? Every American lives in a state.

“Sorry, but there is no chance this gets through the Senate.”

You may be right. But at least let’s force them to vote on it. Let’s get them on record — particularly those ‘RATS running for re-election in 2018 from “red states”.
