FWIW, I am listening to Hugh Hewitt, and being an attorney he is into the whole attorney provenance thing "and I am happy" said Hugh about the pick.
Hugh noted doing the announcement it via twitter kind of knee-caps the lame stream spin.

Good for Trump. This guy was not even in the speculative running, a pick out of nowhere, I like it. Trump is still running the game, we didn’t get a “deep stater”. Trump’s timing is also spot on.
