I will be nominating Christopher A. Wray, a man of impeccable credentials, to be the new Director of the FBI. Details to follow.
Stealing the wind from Comey’s sails.
As far as high profile, handled Enron for the government if I’m reading this right.

Hope he brought his broom and mop.
Good move to get this guy’s name on the table before Comey’s blah-blah-blah. Give Dems some more rope.
On a related topic, I notice three posts of this tweet within two minutes (possibly more to come in the next minute). What’s the protocol for comments and replies? Seems the first doesn’t always get the most posts.
This guy was the lawyer who had Christie s cell phone during the Bridge gate thing?
His first run-in came in the mid-1990s, when he joined the Senate Whitewater Committee as a deputy special counsel. There he dug into allegations that the Clintons took part in a fraud connected to a Arkansas real estate venture gone bust. No charges were ever brought against either Clinton..."
"In 2002, Comey, then a federal prosecutor, took over an investigation into President Bill Clinton's 2001 pardon of financier Marc Rich, who had been indicted on a laundry list of charges before fleeing the country . ..."

"The Whitewater controversy (also known as the Whitewater scandal, or simply Whitewater) began with investigations into the real estate investments of Bill and Hillary Clinton and their associates, Jim and Susan McDougal, in the Whitewater Development Corporation, a failed business venture in the 1970s and 1980s."

"Go with the flow." It's not like one thread or another is going to have any particularly useful substantive remark.
Defended Christie
Read some abut him on the home page of the firm he currently works with, sounds like he has checked all the right boxes.
Here’s a link:http://www.kslaw.com/people/Christopher-Wray
Also led Enron prosecution, if I read that correctly.
Fraud is a specialty.
This strikes me as an excellent pick in terms of credentials.
He has the experience to go after deep state, fraudulent foundations, and corruption.
Clerked for Luttig, served in DOJ under Bush.
That’s what private practice defense attorneys get paid to do.
Do they mention that his father, Cecil Wray, is a player in the Council on Foreign Relations?
They did not. Family connections were not included.
Looks like Comey was Wray’s boss for a couple of years at the Justice Dept. Bet he has some dirt on Comey. I find it quite possible that Comey asked him to do something illegal...look the other way on something...destroy evidence, etc.
And why was your post to me necessary. Do you think anyone here doesn’t know what defense lawyers do?????
That means Trump ought to have a decent read on whether he was for him during the campaign.
That he’s been based in Atlanta, rather than DC, all these years is also a good sign.
In general, Trump of course has brought in far too many GOPe/NeverTrump/Democrat stooges, but outwardly this looks like he may be a very good choice.
Fraudulent Foundations.
