Germany’s leading news programme has been slammed for failing to report the rape and murder of the 19-year-old daughter of an EU official by an Afghan ‘refugee’. The Tagesschau show, produced by ARD, the world’s largest public broadcaster, claimed that the story was “too regional”. Others, however, blame political correctness and an establishment desire to silence criticism of mass migration.

Germany went for other authoritarians, but Sharia is so counter to the culture they knew (unlike the policies of the other said authoritarians) that I believe this time, yes, it WILL prove unacceptable. There may be a bit of a civil war over it, though.

At while back a guy working there admitted the bias, saying they were paid by the government and “not to advertize the opposition”. That was after the mass-rapings around New Year and it’s a great reason why government funding of media leads to them lying to the public.
This is so disrespectful of the German people. The concept here is that the German people are like children. Their conclusions are not worth anything. They can vote for the leaders. But they can’t handle news of the world.
The leaders of Germany use this “we no best” attitude when they screw-up. The concept that the people can’t handle news, normally is a consideration when the government looks bad. This decision to withhold news demonstrates a government who does not respect its people. And a government who is willing to withhold news to protect itself. Additionally it demonstrates a press that can’t or won’t do its job of monitoring the government and informing the electorate.
Its not yet a Hitlers style. But when a Hitler type gets into office he will have all the tools he needs to be a tyrant.

The German public broadcasters are not funded by the gov't, but by the people they lie to (the public). There is no opt-out. Everyone must pay.
I do not know. But the proverbial sticks and stones won’t be hard to get, if nothing else.

In the same fashion that we use the term ‘Stockholm Syndrome’, I think we need to adopt a new term of ‘Rotherham Syndrome’ for this kind of situation and governmental willful blindness for the sake of political correctness.
In Rotherham, England, an Asian (Pakistani) gang started to systemically attack and abuse lower-class Caucasian girls into a sex/prostitution ring. For a period of 15+ years, complaints by the victims and families were ignored and buried by the local authorities due to political support, minority rights, multiculturalism, self-interest, religious sensitivity and that catch-all, political correctness.
The theology of Islam and the family-clan-tribe society that inculcates the behavior of these migrants makes them very resistant to assimilation. Their migration, being for non-political reasons, gives them no desire to adopt the local culture or morality. Unless there is an outside force, normal cultural inertia will keep Islamic migrants in self-created ghettos where their culture reinforces itself.
When you add the modern LEFT adoption of extreme sensitivity to feelings over facts, multiculturalism over societal self-interest and extreme tolerance over cultural norms, you engender an environment where the ‘Rotherham Syndrome’ can flourish. Hint to our cultural elites, this is culture suicide!
The Media everywhere has turned into Government Propaganda
The first part remains true but the 2nd part may not. In fact one of those authoritarians that Germany went for, Adolf Hitler, day dreamed of how great it would have been if Germans were Islamic rather than Christians.
Hitler was an admirer of Islam. Two of Hitler's close associates - who where among the few who survived the war and the Nuremberg trials - provide the final word on this. Both Speer and Bormann published books with Hitlers actual words on which Religion inspired him.
Martin Bormann's (Nazi Chancellor) "TABLE TALKS 1941-1944" are the transcripts of Hitler's conversations. It contains this Hilter quote from 8/21/42:

If islam were to take over the planet I see the planet becoming more like the Klingon Empire (the original bad-guy Klingons, not the nice ones in the latter series)

I have no doubt a leading Muslim at the time told Hilter this - it fits so well with the thinking found in all devout Muslims - of self-hatred, self-righteousness and self-pity.
NO - if Islam won at Tours and managed to take France, then France would simply be another backward, inbred, isolated, violent place. A European Islam would simply have left the Chinese or some other society room to lead the world.
Hitler’s alternate history was that by conquering the Germans and converting them to Islam, eventually because of Germanic racial superiority Germans would be become masters of the Muslim religion and Muslim world - and then Islamized Germans would have conquered the entire world.
That was his fantasized alternative history when his Nazi conquest of the world began to run out of gas.
