108,600 Votes Swing 46 Electoral College Votes to Donald Trump
Breitbart ^ | 11 Nov 2016 | Michael Patrick Leahy

Posted on 11/12/2016 5:23:41 AM PST by cpforlife.org

Forty-six of the electoral college votes President-elect Donald Trump won on his way to a resounding 306 to 232 electoral college victory over Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton came from three states where his combined margin of victory was only 108,600 votes.

No major media outlet has yet called Michigan for Trump, but a spokesperson for the Michigan Secretary of State’s office told Breitbart News on Thursday “there’s no reason to believe there will be large numbers of votes that will be found subsequent to the current reporting.”

Clinton’s inattention on the campaign trail to these three “Rust Belt” states cost her dearly.

As The Week, points out, Hillary Clinton failed to visit Wisconsin, even once, after April.

It could have been even worse for the Clinton campaign. Trump, who only visited Minnesota once during the last month of the campaign (an overflow rally held Sunday at the Minneapolis airport), almost won that traditionally liberal state’s 10 electoral college votes as well.

Trump won Pennsylvania, with its 20 electoral college votes, by 68,236 votes, Wisconsin, with its 10 electoral college votes, by 27,257 votes, and Michigan, with its 16 electoral college votes, by 13,107 votes.

Had those 108,600 votes gone to Hillary Clinton, she would have won the presidency with a a 278 to 260 electoral college victory over Trump. (Though New Hampshire, with its 4 electoral college votes has not yet been called, Clinton holds a 1,614 vote margin there–0.2 percent of votes cast in the state– with 100 percent of precincts reporting.)

Clinton won the popular vote by 0.2 percent, or about 200,000 votes out of a total of 120 million total votes cast.

A key shift of less than 0.1 percent of those votes–108,600–would have given us President-elect Clinton instead of President-elect Trump.

Yes, and add to that an end and rescission to ‘Birthright Citizenship’ as well as uniform voter ID with a top-down bottom-up reform of electronic voting and tabulation systems, including outlawing private ownership of IP for such systems.

People like Soros must forever be banned from having any influence on these systems.

.when Trump clears out Southern California of all the Illegal alien vermin, drug dealers, murderers, gangs and non-American citizens, California will become a red state once again!!!

Not a chance. California's leftward move started in the 1970's after a few hard winters in the northeast created a flood of New Yorkers like the idiot Barbara Boxer. Still remember seeing NY license plates everywhere in the mid 70's.

Illegal voting started later and accelerated things, enabled by the easterners that usurped the state.

“Does anyone else get sick of the could of - would of - should of crowd?”

Could’ve, would’ve, and should’ve can be valuable as a review of lessons learned, especially insofar as it keeps us from repeating mistakes.

Close elections happen. Trumps percent margin of victories for the close states are (pending whatever remains of early/absentee votes):

MI (0.27%) WI (0.81%) PA (1.08%) FL (1.21%)

Flashback to the 1960 election and here are the close states that went for JFK:

HI (0.08%) IL (0.18%) MO (0.52%) NM (0.74%) NJ (0.80%) MN (1.42%)

Unless we get voter registration and the vote process under control to prevent fraud, this will probably be a high water mark. Common sense vote security measures:

1. Must show photo ID and citizenship proof to register to vote. Easily done online.

2. Must provide SSN.

3. All votes by paper.

4. Voter registrations compared across states to eliminate duplicates.

5. Mail in voting allowed across the country. Must have internet system to verify receipt of vote.

I’ve been (justifiably) harsh in dealing with blacktivists, but I’m certain that blacks played an important role in Hillary’s loss. A few more voted for Trump than would normally vote for Republicans, many less voted for Hillary, and A LOT OF THEM apparently stayed home.

I’m grateful; Trump was right when he said they had nothing to lose with him in the White House.

I’m thrilled by Trump’s win, but I don’t see it as a victory of “the right”; I like many of his positions, but in terms of the culture wars he is very centrist. “Gay marriage” and abortion were barely mentioned in this race; that is why so many Democrats were OK voting for Trump. He is a nationalist, but hardly right-wing.

I doubt any social conservatives would have won 200 electoral votes; those issues are easy to scare women, non-Christians, etc.

Trump’s margins were razor-thin where they counted. Mrs. Catnipman believes the LEGITIMATE Trump margin would have been closer to 5% IF the fraud and illegal illegal alien voting were subtracted from Hillary’s totals, and Mrs. Catnipman isn’t big on conspiracy theories in general, either.

“But it was his own money.”

Wrong. Only during the primary was it his own money.

From the following:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/11/10/more-with-less-trumps-lean-machine-beats-clintons-big-bank-account.html

“Trump and his allies raised $795 million, according to The Washington Post, and won.

Clinton, along with the Democratic Party and allied groups, raised $1.3 billion overall as of Oct. 19.

Trump [and allies] spent about $13.29 per individual vote and $2.8 million per Electoral College vote. Clinton [and allies] spent about $21.63 per individual vote and $5.7 million per Electoral College vote.”

I just shared that with a bunch of friends who have been screaming the past several days about scrapping the Electoral College.

Incidentally, one of those friends, I learned yesterday, was on Hillary's slate of electors from my old home state.

I agree Trump is centrist on cultural issues. He is also not an adherent of the free market “gospels” of Milton Friedman and Ludwig Von Mises. However, he is friendlier than Obama was and Hillary would have been. Trump has committed to originalist Supreme Court justices, whose presence will help reverse decisions of the last half century of judicial activism.

Here’s hoping when Trump says drain the swamp, ending electoral/vote fraud is part of the plan. He’s clearly not unaware.
