After undercover videos released in July showed that Planned Parenthood was involved in the trafficking of aborted baby body parts, Donald Trump said he wasn't sure if the Planned Parenthood should lose all of its federal funding. He later shifted, saying: "I wouldn't do any funding as long as they are performing abortions."
Trump has stuck to that line, but he has also offered a lot of aid and comfort to Planned Parenthood by arguing it does "wonderful things." At Thursday night's debate, Trump said that "millions and millions of women — cervical cancer, breast cancer — are helped by Planned Parenthood." Trump did not mention the fact that community health centers could easily provide non-abortion services to those women and that Planned Parenthood has been caught falsely claiming that it performs mammograms.
Trump went on to say that he would defund Planned Parenthood "because of the abortion factor, which they say is 3 percent. I don't know what percentage it is. They say it's 3 percent." If Trump took the time to Google that statistic before repeating it on national television, he would have learned that it is wildly misleading.
Planned Parenthood commits more than 300,000 abortions per year. Abortions generate more than a third of the billion-dollar non-profit's revenue. You end up with the "three percent" figure only by treating the dispensing of birth control pills the same as the dismembering a human child.
"Practically every defender of the organization, fighting to preserve its federal funding, reverts to the 3 percent figure," Rich Lowry wrote in August. "The 3 percent figure is an artifice and a dodge, but even taking it on its own terms, it's not much of a defense. Only Planned Parenthood would think saying that they only kill babies 3 percent of the time is something to brag about."
"How much credit would we give someone for saying he only drives drunk 3 percent of the time, or only cheats on business trips 3 percent of the time, or only hits his wife during 3 percent of domestic disputes?" Lowry asked.
Perhaps we don't want to know how Donald Trump would answer those questions.

I doubt that any pro-Lifer has said anything as good about PP as Trump has. It’s hard to believe he really is a Life guy. I’m more a 10th amendment person than a Life zealot but even to me PP is heinous. This is Trump’s worst position.
Trump is not one of us, he never was. But he has learned how to fashion a conservative sounding dog whistle that calls all scared, confused, and pissed off conservative lapdogs (who are obviously not thinking straight) from miles around.

I saw a report on OAN that abortion mills are dropping like flies. Several closing every week.
Reuters just covered a story regarding US Appeals Court allowing Louisiana to enforce a law passed in 2014 which essentially closes all but one abortion provider in the state of 4.7 million.
It grants admitting privileges to hospitals for abortionists.
SCOTUS will hear another one from Texas next month.

McCormack actually points out a little-known distortion in PP reporting: that every procedure counts as “one,” thereby minimizing the role of abortion in the total PP budget and allowing them to claim that only 3% of their operations is abortions.
Also, if you watched the body-parts videos, you saw that although they are a nonprofit, the sale of the baby parts enables them to expand the scope of their operations. It’s not profit, per se, but it grows the business. That means more facilities for abortions, and more abortions.

If you vote for Trump, you are throwing your vote away whether he wins or he loses. He’s a New York leftist through and through. And he will betray the conservatives who vote for him at the first opportunity.
I know you’re going to say I’m a Trump bot, but I don’t think Trump understood their propaganda trick. I only know it because I have friends who are deep inside the pro-life movement, and I posted this yesterday on Free Republic, which is probably where McCormack got the idea for his story.

All very conservative and this took a lifetime of teaching, strong work ethics, never in any kind of trouble, wonderful families with lots of children, avid hunters and gun supporters.... You are looking at statements someone made trying to please crooked politicians while trying to run a business in a cesspool of liberalism!!! I'm not sure he's doing it on purpose but saying 'nice' things about Planned Parenthood helps blunt the meme that Republicans are anti-woman. At least that's my read. It doesn't give the liberals much room to maneuver around Trump.
