Doesn’t Houston have a lot of black and Hispanic voters, both groups which tend to vote Democrat?
Hurricane Katrina flooded Houston with former New Orleans democrats
It’s probably all those Katrina “refugees” from N’awlins. One would expect Texans to have more sense than that. Houston is now West N’awlins.
Duh, because of the large percent of #BLM.
An episode of COPS in Houston will make things crystal clear.
If informed people don't think it is important to vote they deserve the government we get.
Thanks to all of the taxpayers that were to lazy to go vote.
“Itâs probably all those Katrina ârefugeesâ from Nâawlins. One would expect Texans to have more sense than that. Houston is now West Nâawlins.”
But the Democratic trend in Houston goes back long before Katrina.
The Houston elite have always tended to be liberal, too. Over the years, lot of business executives followed the salaries there from California, New York, Chicago, etc.
Yes. . .and they are stupid and lazy and on government programs.
For the answer, ask Jerry Mander.
Outward flight by Conservative voters
200000 people voted in a city with a population of 2.2 million
because anyone with half a brain that lives in that area doesn’t live within the city limits.
They don’t call it Youstoned for nothing.
Black, Hispanic, Asian and a fair number of Arabs and Persians. There are a lot of poor blue collar whites too, who often vote Democrat. The last vestiges of the yellow dog Democrat tradition.

A big community of poofters too.
It’s just inner city voters. Same in Dallas. The folks who keep sending Sheila Jackson Lee and Eddie Berniece Johnson to Washington. Not like most of Texas, including the communities that surround Houston.
Houston has cops? I’ve never seen one.
Because most of the decent people live in one of the suburb towns and not in Houston proper.
