Even writing off the "illegals," generally Hispanics don't turnout to vote, even for fellow Hispanic candidates. They just assume that they're vote doesn't count. The low literacy levels don't help. They are used to rampant corruption and just keep their heads down and take it.
Technically incorrect. Do some research. Democratic Party is correct.
Yep! And, they never left. They like all the freebies that are handed to them.
A LOT? Drive around (armed of course) and see for yourself.
Silverback Sheila J-Lee ain’t an aberration.
I moved to the suburbs six years ago but do have to go into the city twice a week to see clients. Economy isn’t that dismal throughout the area. Lots of job openings, particularly in fast food. This time around it’s pretty diversified. Just block after block of hi rise condos going in. Rents are high, IMO. Part of the city I go to is doing fine for now. Parts look just like any other major city though. Untrimmed greenery and trash along the freeways, lots of rough streets which need to be totally replaced. They’ve apparently fixed the thousands of potholes but if you drive there often you will find yourself spending lots of money on front end alignments. Obviously a lot of areas I won’t drive in, although I never did drive there anyway, and never go into the city at night. Do have concealed carry and never go in unarmed. Some parts, particularly in southwest Houston, look just like Mexico and most signs are in Spanish.
Will certainly be interesting to see what happens this time around because of the decline in the oil business. And, of course, Sheila Jackson Lee’s candidate won election for Mayor. Interesting times ahead which are beginning to spill out to the suburbs.
Illegals vote there.
