The Secret Service will give agent protection to Ben Carson and Donald Trump while heavily upgrading Hillary Clinton's existing detail, a Washington source close to the agency’s plans confirmed to Newsmax.
The deployment of agents around Republican candidates Trump and Carson is set to begin as early as next week. Approximately two dozen agents will be assigned to each candidate.

Although Donald Trump likely has excellent security, the Secret Service has access to much more intelligence and monitoring.
It also ends the growing concern that Obama was delaying the assignment of Secret Service to Trump and Carson.
Don't think we have a precedent for this.
Although I don’t trust Obama, Trump and Carson do need SS protection. I will continue to pray for their safety.
Does the SS guard the White House? Who will they assign to guard Trump and Carson? I would rather have Delta Force guard them and just give them the intel they need.
Trump could use his current security to augment the security of his other of family members.
the way the Obama administration has corrupted agency it controls . I would be very carful that none of the agents are democrat operatives.

Does the secret service assign agents without any input from the candidates?
I know the agency assigns people to hillary as a form of punishment.
However, Trump likes to hire people on his own, so I wonder if Trump has any say in who is assigned to him.

Yes, it is my understanding that assignment selection is negotiated or can be. I am sure Eric Trump will be involved in the selection.
Putting my tongue firmly in my cheek, I have to ask. Who’s orders do they follow? Perhaps a security force loyal to the candidate would be better
I am surprised they are doing this now. So did both Carson & Trump formally ask for protection at same time? Or did Trump talking to the press do it?
Trump has all the right enemies.
Lets name them:
* Corrupt entrenched pre-paid politicians in D.C.
* Corrupt manipulated media, including foreign press.
* Mexico
* Tens of millions of illegal aliens.
* Mass murdering drug cartel kingpins worth billions.
* D.C. lobbyist and influence peddler$.
* Millions of government bureaucrats bankrolled by taxes.
I might have missed a few. Oh, and some folks right here on FR.
They will take orders from Donald Trump or likely his son Eric. The detail becomes a part of the candidate’s life and ‘family’. They have access to a vast network of resources to plan every move and that info will be shared with Donald or likely Eric.
These SS will be vetted for pro communism and will feed intel back to the white hut.
I know Trump requested this earlier. I have to think the quick response has something to do with El Chapo being wounded and escaping, not killed or caught. I suspect he will increase his efforts to get those “responsible”.
The report says that Carson initially declined the protection bu the Service approached him with intel that showed threats were extreme and very possible.
Donald Trump’s repeated requests were likely a factor. I am sure the Service was more than willing to provide protection but Obama’s people were holding back. The intel about Carson likely caused Obama’s people to finally authorize the protection.
Secret Service to Donald Trump is probably viewed as a plum assignment with longterm consequences and benefits. I am sure he is getting the best and if not Eric Trump will make sure he’s getting the best.
Why the Hell would Hillary need EXTRA...EXTRA protection???
