Zero cops killed by Obama's 'bad' ammo

The White House claim that the ammunition for the popular AR-15 rifle should be banned as part of a “common sense” effort to protect police officers’ lives is being derided by police officers themselves as a shameful lie.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said this week that the .223-caliber M855 ball should be banned because it can penetrate an officer’s soft armor and can be fired not just from sporting rifles but “easily concealable weapons.”

Hmmmm. Makes perfect sense in liblogic terms. If ZERO officers have been killed by these, then it's the perfect time to ban them so we can maintain that ZERO number. See, liblogic common sense. Just in case and because it's for the children and it will put an end to domestic violence and also close the gunshow loophole plus increase your mileage in your car. Some restrictions apply.

Police officers are not even in the top ten dangerous professions list. Factory worker is more dangerous than being a cop. Just saying the facts. I don't want to see anyone hurt or killed, but the whole perilous nature of policing is not statistically sound.

Meanwhile the CIA may have provided the terrorists (Rebel insurgents) in Syria Sarin gas that they used against Syrian civilians. I think the fact that agencies not aligned with the US brought evidence and video footage of the insurgents firing it, and the US rejected it and called it lies. Yeah, it’s like a great delusion is sweeping the planet and a select few are not believing Obama and his disciples

Roger that. How many LEO’s go their entire career never drawing their weapon or being in a “firefight” like the BOA robbery in LA years ago?

With only a ~2" barrel (instead of 16-18" with an AR-15), would the round even develop the muzzle velocity necessary to penetrate body armor?

More cops have been killed by Obama and holder’s rhetoric than this ammo.

I dunno but I think I'll let someone else break their wrist firing a .223 round out of a snub nose trying to find out.

Why are they in “soft’ armor in the first place. City/county governments to cheap to buy them Military style armor? Or arm them with the same weapons being used on them?

What about our K9 units having the same vest protection, they deserve it too.

Not only are they not very concealable , but they’re bulky, not well balanced and not too accurate. Attaching the controversial Sig Brace might help tighten up the accuracy but now you have a really awkward piece of hardware.

Seems to me that we would have learned the lesson by now: Any time you have the gov’t declare something to be illegal or banned and criminalize it, the criminals come in and create a black market for it. End result: Whatever it is you’re trying to ban simply creates a different market for that product and drives the revenues into the hands of the bad guys. Does anyone actually believe that banning ammo of any type will take that ammo away from the bad guys? If so, I have a really nice bridge for sale...cheap,
