AR-15 “Pistols” are not easily concealable.

With only a ~2" barrel (instead of 16-18" with an AR-15), would the round even develop the muzzle velocity necessary to penetrate body armor?

You must not live where it is cold in the northern part of the country a full size AR is concealable in the winter.

Does anybody know the velocity of the M855 round from a pistol?
It's my understanding that the rounds are based on Rifles of
at least 16" barrels.

Barrel length = Velocity.
