Atlantic Citys city council just unanimously voted to ban selling or owning realistic-looking toy guns.
The ordinance bans the sale, possession or use of any imitation firearms . . . which arent bright, fluorescent colors or transparent, according to an article published in the Press of Atlantic City.
Anyone caught with an illegal toy gun can face a $50 fine and 30 days in jail.

Suggest reading the entire article to get the full measure of the stupidity involved.

I’m 60 miles north of AC. I’m sure glad all my toy guns were lost in a boating accident.

Next ban anything that looks like a knife, hatchet, etc etc. Why just they just pass a bill that let the cop just shoot the subject even if he has nothing. Kill him/her and ask questions later and if the victim has nothing, so what!

Makes me want to go out and buy bright, fluorescent black toy gun and visit there.
But they would probably Ruby Ridge me on sight.

Other than to replicate the sensation of sticking one’s head into a clogged and overflowing public toilet, why would a person go to Atlantic City, with or without a toy gun?!?

Another freedom lost due to hysterical women thinking they know what is best for us.
If you have not noticed, all of the nanny government regulations have been in the name of hysterical women.

Drugs and prostitution are still legal, however. So is beating up white people, as long as you’re black.

Well, considering summer tourist season is over and the casinos are closing, facing a winter with 40% unemployment and no prospects leaves the population in an ugly mood.

My bet is that that is the intent of the law. To cover more police misconduct when they take a citizen’s life without cause. You just have to wonder how long the people are going to tolerate this abuse of their rights.

Basically, they’re saying that the Cops are too stupid to tell the difference between a toy and a real weapon and they can’t rely on their judgment, so they’ve decided to make things easy and ban toys to cover the fact that they hire incompetent people.

Really? Didn’t know there was anyone left in Atlantic City.

The council pushed for the law because cops told them that real-looking fake guns are frequently used in robbery attempts.Only a liberal would think that criminals armed with toys instead of real guns is a problem.
