Shaheen posted an open letter to President Obama Tuesday urging him to extend the enrollment period for Americans to sign up for health care under the Affordable Care Act.
Dear Mr. President:
The Affordable Care Act has already positively impacted the lives of millions of Americans and once fully implemented, this law has great promise. However, I am concerned about the problems that people are experiencing with the Affordable Care Acts website, healthcare.gov. As website glitches persist, we are losing valuable time to educate and enroll people in insurance plans. I also fear that people that have tried, and failed, to enroll online may become frustrated and not return to the website to try again at a later date.
Given the existing problems with the website, I urge you to consider extending open enrollment beyond the current end date of March 31, 2014. Allowing extra time for consumers is critically important so they have the opportunity to become familiar with the website, survey their options and enroll.

Don’t delay the crash and burn.
May the cracks begin to make this travesty crumble.
And a commie dope.
Yeh Shaheen the ACA has already affected millions—either losing healthcare benefits, jobs and/or less hours worked. Don’t sugarcoat this turd of a disaster with more overlying BS suckups to Bam’s ego.
You can bet that Shaheen was selected by the admin to do this. Now obammy can deign to grant the request with a wave of his dainty hand.
Had to stop reading right there.
She doesn't know what she's talking about.
I agree. I think you’ll probably see other Dems coming out with this, and it will give Obama a handy escape route.
“She doesn’t know what she’s talking about.”
Sure she does; she has to delay it until after the mid-terms, but still pretend it was a good thing because she (and countless other Dems) supported it. The pressure on Obama to delay the individual mandate must be increasing daily (if the stories about higher premiums and copays are true); his own party won’t want to take a thrashing for him.
Cracks beginning to show.

Ms. Shaheen. Please document when and how Obamacare has “positively” impacted 10,000 Americans let alone the “millions” that you claim. Test assured I can document 10,000 workers that it has negatively impacted by losing their job, having their hours reduced etc.
I believe another “democrat” beat her to it, wasn’t there a thread yesterday where Marco Rubio said this thing should be delayed?
How about that dumb ass Senator Manchin from West Virginia he is supposed to be moderate? ...
She still doesn’t realize what a POS Obamacare is, she just wants a postponement.
Yeah Obamacare shows great promise. The promise to bankrupt us and leave us with no health care.
“Moderate leftist” is a myth and an oxymoron.
Leftism, by definition, is radical - not unlike satan and his goals.
They’re possibly starting to realize that the pain of all this will extend to potential ‘Rat voters in 2014.....my feeling is that 0-care should not be delayed - let the games begin, and let the truth see the light of day.
Smoke and mirrors. This is a plant to allow a few chosen dims to come out and “ask” for a delay to better prepare for the American people who are hurting and the moron will grant their request and the press will again fawn all over his innate ability to govern in times of crisis. To paraphrase: “commies don’t take a dump without a plan”.
2030 works for me.
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen should ask John Kerry to ask Putin to negotiate a delay in ObozoScamScare.
Putin, apparently, knows how to shut up the whining pseudo potus and get him to agree to reality.
