The public isn't with Obama on intervention, and he knows it. He also knows that the blowback from this may be terrible, so he needs some Republicans to front for him so that he and his party don't get all of the blame. And what do Republicans like Boehner, McCain, Graham, etc do? They play right along, willing to be Obama's fall guys.

It would be funny if it weren't so pathetic.

Having weaponized al Qaeda with MANPADs, SAMs, and
now saris, the US Constitution defines exactly
what Obama, Graham, McCain, and Boehner are.

Why should Osambo care? He’s got as much or more power than King George in the XVIII century, taking advantage of the one foolishness of our Founding Daddies. His only concern are the Rats who might bitch about the upcoming 2014 erection, should things go haywire.

Based on Obama, Hagel, and Kerry's words and promises, the three stooges have just painted themselves into another corner.

Asaad can now kill the populace with woodchippers and chain saws until they run out of people to kill. Guns, mortars, rockets, mines, daisy cutters, napalm runs, and squish em with tanks. That's all Okeedokee based on Obama doctrine.

Boehner is making a monumental mistake. His decision to declare war on Syria and involve the United States in a long bloody Mideast quagmire is catastrophic. He will be forced to resign less than six months after the first shots. He will be miserable for the rest of his life but others will suffer and die for his extremely poor judgement.

In former Yugoslavia, we had communist democracy. We had two to choose from
1. Union Of Communists of Yugoslavia
2. Socialist Union Of Working People Of Yugoslavia.

And I can really “feel” two-party system in USA.... (sarcasm)

Limbaugh is among those to remind us of the similarity to Clinton-Albright's Bosnia. Sen. Paul was right to use John Kerry's Viet Nam last-to-die "question;" Sen Paul framed it as something like, Who would want to be the first to die for a mistake, Sec. Kerry?

I am absolutely opposed for the same reason some opposed Bush; to wit, NO BLOOD FOR OIL!

no blood for OIL (Obama's Insufferable Lapses)!

no blood for OIL (Obama's Incompetent Leadership)!

no blood for OIL (Obama's Insidious Liaisons)!

no blood for OIL (Obama the Islamist Lackey)! . . . .

The Saudi Government, who has co-opted Democrats and Republicans alike, simply do not care what the American public thinks.

It has been painfully apparent from even before 0bama was first sworn in that both he and his followers have a very imperfect appreciation of the limitations of the office of the Presidency. I get the impression that this "Constitutional scholar" fully expected simply to dictate policy and have it rubber-stamped by a Congress in which his party held the majority in both houses. Enlightenment wasn't helped a great deal when Pelosi and company proceeded to to precisely that.

That led, I think, to a high degree of unreasonable expectations, certainly on the part of certain less erudite followers who stated that he would "rule" and certain others who consider the office too august even to question - oh, they get to, the opposition does not - and that even to do so is ascribable to racism. That doesn't set a great table for compromise.

This is not a case of the United States being embarrassed in any sense. It is not a case of the U.S. military being embarrassed. It is solely a case of a narcissistic, messianic adolescent convinced that the entire country revolves around him being brought up short when he overstepped his bounds. The current media mantra is that U.S. credibility is on the line. Not the case. And 0bama never had all that much to begin with.

The few reasons cited by the RINOs are almost reasons enough to oppose this conflict.

McCain said that it diminishes the credibility of the US and the POTUS. As far as the US, I don’t think anyone doubts our national ability, *if* we have a national will. If we don’t, the US is *not* represented by its representatives. They are just things floating in our national toilet.

As far as the credibility of the POTUS, it *desperately needs* to be diminished. The office of the president has become an “imperial presidency”, and the president’s powers need to be substantially reduced. In this case, the War Powers Act needs to be considerably strengthened, taking power away from the POTUS and giving it to congress. But there are many, many other things that need to be done to restore order to the office.

They seem to want a king, not a president. To hell with that idea.

The only intervention the US should make is providing intelligence information to the rebels on how best to attack Assad’s forces. That should be more than enough. If the Saudis want to give them small arms, fine.

Well, there will be a few winners if we go to war. Saudi Arabia. The banksters. And secessionists.

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing Corker say during the hearings. He kept referring to strengthening the MODERATE opposition in Syria.

There is NO MODERATE OPPOSITION IN SYRIA.

I can’t believe what’s happening to my country.

I despise the republican party for allowing scumbags like Mccain, Graham and Boner turn the party into Obama’s bitches. America has no interest in intervening in Syria. When your enemies are killing each other you let them keep killing each other.

Is there a web site that aggregates antiwar marches and demonstrations here in the US? It’s time for me to put on my boots. I see there is one in the UK:

I am 100% against it.

Of course, the Assclown didn’t do a damn thing about Benghazi, except to jail an AMERICAN citizen who had a youtube video.
