Republicans could have rubbed Obama's face in the dirt with this one, because very few Americans want us to get involved in Syria's civil war. The Republican "leadership" has chosen to side with Obama instead.
Of course, this is just part of the same pattern we've been seeing for years. Most Americans do not support amnesty for illegals. This could also have been a winning GOP issue, yet they managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory there too with their own "path to citizenship" plan.
