(Reuters) - President Barack Obama has failed so far to convince most Americans that the United States should launch a limited military strike against Syria in response to a suspected chemical weapons attack by the Syrian government, a Reuters/Ipsos poll showed on Tuesday.
Some 56 percent of those surveyed said the United States should not intervene in Syria, while only 19 percent supported action, the online poll found.
The findings are essentially unchanged from last week and indicated that Obama changed few minds on Saturday when he argued that Washington has the obligation to punish Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for what the United States says was a sarin gas attack that killed more than 1,400 people, including hundreds of children, near Damascus on August 21.

It would be funny if it weren't so pathetic.
Winning issue. Republicans fold
Of course, this is just part of the same pattern we've been seeing for years. Most Americans do not support amnesty for illegals. This could also have been a winning GOP issue, yet they managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory there too with their own "path to citizenship" plan.
Why should Osambo care? He’s got as much or more power than King George in the XVIII century, taking advantage of the one foolishness of our Founding Daddies. His only concern are the Rats who might bitch about the upcoming 2014 erection, should things go haywire.
Asaad can now kill the populace with woodchippers and chain saws until they run out of people to kill. Guns, mortars, rockets, mines, daisy cutters, napalm runs, and squish em with tanks. That's all Okeedokee based on Obama doctrine.
Osambo? Why use that term?
FK Syria
FUBO
FK Congress
So help me Gawd, this thing is going through.
Bass Terds
If Repubs have truly folded, there is no reason to vote for them again.
Boehner is making a monumental mistake. His decision to declare war on Syria and involve the United States in a long bloody Mideast quagmire is catastrophic. He will be forced to resign less than six months after the first shots. He will be miserable for the rest of his life but others will suffer and die for his extremely poor judgement.
” Some 56 percent of those surveyed said the United States should not intervene in Syria, while only 19 percent supported action, the online poll found.”
Boehner to the rescue!!
Got a problem with Osambo? How about Odumbo, Hussein, Osama, Obummer, and a dozen other loving nicknames for your beloved POTUS?
It's the start of WWIII!
In former Yugoslavia, we had communist democracy. We had two to choose from
1. Union Of Communists of Yugoslavia
2. Socialist Union Of Working People Of Yugoslavia.
And I can really “feel” two-party system in USA.... (sarcasm)
It’s REALLY time for impeachment. At this rate our grandkids will be forced to speak another language as their mother tongue. Which one I’m not sure. If the libs aren’t seeing his horns popping out now they never will
and the Leadership of the USA doesn’t give a rat’s azz what the people want. Proven yet again.
Only 19%
The MSM is going to do everything to get that number up
As usual
The best way for a single party system to stay in power is to pose as a two party system, thereby creating the illusion of choice where there is none.
I used to think that the difference between the GOP and the Democrats was that the Republicans would tolerate or even support the welfare state as long as they got their wars and their police state, while Democrats would tolerate or even support wars and the police state as long as they got their welfare state.
Now I think that even this subtle difference no longer applies.
