I have been involved to one degree or another with scouting my whole life. Either as a scout myself, a volunteer leader (including a Scout Master and on the local Scouting Committee on numerous occassions), or an annual doner. No more. For the reasons I cite, I can no longer support the organization either myself, or for my own grandsons.
So, this is a letter I sent to the Boy Scouts of America regarding their recent "vote," on accepting openly gay young men as scouts:

I was in Scouting as a youth. I have been a leader, including a Scout Master, and a member of our Scout Committee, serving as the Advancement chair on occassion. I have also donated to scouting my entire life.
As a result of your recent decision regarding openly gay youth being able to join scouting, I personally will not be giving another dime to the BSA.
I will also recommend that my children not enroll any of our grandsons into the organization...as much as it pains me, and as much as I regret the loss of this once great organization.
Part of Scouting is to be "morally straight." Those words have meaning. A gay life style is not "morally straight." Societal mores may change. But the truth does not...and you do not advance the truth by giving in to or accepting such behavior or inclinations and trying to call them "normal," or okay.
The homosexual community is now going to recruit 16-17 year old boys to become open members of the scouting organization. I do not want my 12-14 year old grandsons, or any other youth exposed to such individuals on campouts. Plain and simple. Not worth the risk.
If you think this will not be discussed, and that such kids will not promote that life-style through conversations at such events...you are deluding yourselves.
My church, the LDS Church, will continue with the scout program within its own congregations until and unless they accept adult leaders who are homosexual. That is what the Church has indicated is its line. The Church teaches that homosexuals can be members of the church as long as they are celebate in these desires. In other words, they can have urges, but if they resist temptation and rely on the atonementof Christ, then they can be members in good standing as much as a heterosexual who does not commit fornication or adultery.
While I can understand this, and agree with it spiritually when it comes to young people who are serious about trying to overcome this deviant lifestyle...for the reasons I just enumerated I cannot support it within the scouts. The Boy Scouts are a seperate, private organization apart from the church, whom seek my private support. I will no longer give it.
I simply cannot, and will not risk that set of circumstances on my own grandkids, or anyone else's if I can help it. And I can help it by not supporting either materially, monetarily, or with my time an organization that has decided to abdicate the moral high ground in order to retain large donations from organizations that have already embraced this homosexual agenda and its strawman "sexual orientation" argurment, or who would avoid adverse public relations pressure from the homosexual community. Make no mistake, those are precisely the issues in play here. As I said, the truth is the truth, and despite million dollar donations, or adverse publicity,"morally straight," means something. Something intrinsic that cannot and must not be auctioned off.
BSA, how could you?

America is at the Crossroads of History, we cannot, and will not choose the right path if we abdicate eternal principles in order to avoid criticism by the liberal progressive elements in today's society who believe in amorality, and a moving set of societal mores. Our nation, our people, have been great historically precisely because we as a people, from our founding, embraced and upheld fundamental moral principal as enumerated to us through the Gosepl of Jesus Christ. Tolerant? yes. Abidating those pricniples to those who reject them? No.
God bless us as a people to return to our roots, and to elect individuals of high moral standing and courage who will hold those lines.

All homosexuals must stand together as brothers; we must be united artistically, philosophically, socially, politically and financially. We will triumph only when we present a common face to the vicious heterosexual enemy.
If you dare to cry faggot, fairy, queer, at us, we will stab you in your cowardly hearts and defile your dead, puny bodies.
We shall write poems of the love between men; we shall stage plays in which man openly caresses man; we shall make films about the love between heroic men which will replace the cheap, superficial, sentimental, insipid, juvenile, heterosexual infatuations presently dominating your cinema screens. We shall sculpt statues of beautiful young men, of bold athletes which will be placed in your parks, your squares, your plazas. The museums of the world will be filled only with paintings of graceful, naked lads.
Our writers and artists will make love between men fashionable and de rigueur, and we will succeed because we are adept at setting styles. We will eliminate heterosexual liaisons through usage of the devices of wit and ridicule, devices which we are skilled in employing.
We will unmask the powerful homosexuals who masquerade as heterosexuals. You will be shocked and frightened when you find that your presidents and their sons, your industrialists, your senators, your mayors, your generals, your athletes, your film stars, your television personalities, your civic leaders, your priests are not the safe, familiar, bourgeois, heterosexual figures you assumed them to be. We are everywhere; we have infiltrated your ranks. Be careful when you speak of homosexuals because we are always among you; we may be sitting across the desk from you; we may be sleeping in the same bed with you.
There will be no compromises. We are not middle-class weaklings. Highly intelligent, we are the natural aristocrats of the human race, and steely-minded aristocrats never settle for less. Those who oppose us will be exiled.
We shall raise vast private armies, as Mishima did, to defeat you. We shall conquer the world because warriors inspired by and banded together by homosexual love and honor are invincible as were the ancient Greek soldiers.
The family unit-spawning ground of lies, betrayals, mediocrity, hypocrisy and violence--will be abolished. The family unit, which only dampens imagination and curbs free will, must be eliminated. Perfect boys will be conceived and grown in the genetic laboratory. They will be bonded together in communal setting, under the control and instruction of homosexual savants.
All churches who condemn us will be closed. Our only gods are handsome young men. We adhere to a cult of beauty, moral and esthetic. All that is ugly and vulgar and banal will be annihilated. Since we are alienated from middle-class heterosexual conventions, we are free to live our lives according to the dictates of the pure imagination. For us too much is not enough.
The exquisite society to emerge will be governed by an elite comprised of gay poets. One of the major requirements for a position of power in the new society of homoeroticism will be indulgence in the Greek passion. Any man contaminated with heterosexual lust will be automatically barred from a position of influence. All males who insist on remaining stupidly heterosexual will be tried in homosexual courts of justice and will become invisible men.
We shall rewrite history, history filled and debased with your heterosexual lies and distortions. We shall portray the homosexuality of the great leaders and thinkers who have shaped the world. We will demonstrate that homosexuality and intelligence and imagination are inextricably linked, and that homosexuality is a requirement for true nobility, true beauty in a man.
We shall be victorious because we are fueled with the ferocious bitterness of the oppressed who have been forced to play seemingly bit parts in your dumb, heterosexual shows throughout the ages. We too are capable of firing guns and manning the barricades of the ultimate revolution.

Finding a “homosexual gene” is the holy grail of the homosexual lobby, because then they will be able to REALLY make it a civil rights issue.
We don’t condemn people for how God made them, we condemn them for the choices they have made in life.
How easy it will be for them to say “I can’t help who I am because I was made that way” when a genetic component is found.
And they WILL find one, by hook or by crook. They will make one up, and the lie will be all around the world before the truth gets its pants on, figuratively speaking.
Well their goal was not only to fight the takeover, but now they will be organizing a new, conservative and traditional organization to replace the corrupted Boy Scouts.
As it should be when we are talking about kids.

Stanne you say: “Why doesn’t some high placed exec who made Eagle Scout just start another group?” One would have to ask, why couldn’t the queers just start THEIR own group? I would give almost anything to go a month without hearing the word “gay” or anything about any of their stupid agendas.
Either way is disgusts me. I was a scout in the 1970s, best time I ever had in my life. Now they got to deal with pervs who will see this as open season on boys. It goes with out saying pedos will target them now.

The subject is not sexual activity. We’re talking about sexual orientation.

Naturally NO sexual activity is to be condoned. But what skeeter wants is to outlaw even normal behavior.
If a 17 year old happens to discuss taking a girl to the Senior Prom; he should be punished?

Probably wasn't possible. I think the scout membership aspect came to a head when some older scouts starting 'coming out' to their families, schools, et. So, they were also out to their scout troop and leaders. That just blew the question wide open: should the scouts allow openly gay members to remain members?
Then one Eagle scout formed that 'Scouting for All' organization and gay activists became involved as well as the PC elements throughout society, and gays in the scouts became another leftist cause.
And in recent years, somehow they allowed people pushing for gay membership into the BSA national organization, and some corporate sponsors threatened to stop donations, then the national organization caved.
It probably couldn't have been finessed because of the bully nature of gay activism. They'd had to have fought it in a tough, stubborn and principled manner.
I am LDS as well. While we never had sons, both my husband and I have served in scouting positions within the church. We have also donated financially to scouting. No more. I wish the church would break off of scouting and start a YM program similar to Young Women in Excellence. When I think of the long relationship our church has had with scouting and where the scouts are today it literally makes me sick.

totally agree, there was no reason for them to set their won group up but they of course had other motives and then will use this step to now get queer leaders.
They hated the military, boy scouts church and they hated them because of values and morals and tradition, everything the left hates and so they went out to destroy those institutions.

It's only done for if your quit fighting for what is right. I for one will not quit fighting and will stand up to the morally corrupt. As for Scouting, I'm am Eagle Scout and a grandfather. I hope to help change this organization back to its founding principles before it's time for my grandson to become a member.
