That’s sad. You effectively place a normal healthy straight scout in the same category as a homo scout as you want both of them to hide their orientation.
Not me. I see nothing wrong with a Boy Scout being able to casually mention he has a date with a pretty little girl next Saturday night.
This was about trying to make the public accept their perversion, their way of life and their agenda.
>>It is also about despoiling any bastion of traditional American morals still left standing against the putrid tide of progressivism and deviancy. The boy scouts up til now have represented everything the homos and leftists hate - an effective organization for boys and young men that transmitted timeless moral virtues. The leftists have now succeeded in corrupting the organization for their own use.
Another Great American institution destroyed by the left.
Well written, Jeff, and to the point. The BSA really blew it with this move. Or maybe that was their desire.
I had an argument with a liberal woman that I work with about the nature of homosexuality. She believes that people are born either fag or straight. Obviously I don’t. She said that there is no way to prove that people are not born queer. I told her about a National Geographic special that I saw where there was an indigenous tribe in Africa who did not even have a word for homosexuality because the concept was completely foreign to them. I told her that if people were born queer then even that tribe would have had some queer members at some point. She said, “Being indigenous they may not have been taught...” I stopped her right there and told her that she just lost her argument when she uttered the word “taught.” I’ll never let her live it down either.
Whats sad is you would throw a sexually confused kid out of the scouts, who may have tried to hide his problem, when you might have made a positive influence in his life.
Bravo.
I was a Scout, a long time ago and I still don’t know what to say. I guess I could email later, even if it’s locking the stable door after the horse runs away.
None. Monday is Memorial Day, the schools are closed.
(just answering)
I was a scout through First Class (on the way up when we moved), gained my love of the outdoors and all things rugged from my short experience there.
If people were born “queer”, they’d evolve right out of the species and that characteristic would disappear. After all, two gay people could not reproduce - thus, it would be a dead end trait and that gene would be eradicated from the species over a couple of generations.
It’s a learned behavior, and it’s popular now.
Many thanks, Jeff!
One Catholic alternative to the Boy Scouts has already been set up.

At the expense of a normal kid who is told to hide his normal behavior? Yeah, I sure would.
Look FRiend. You are mistaken in your belief that you will overcome the homosexual agenda by forcing straights to “go in the closet”.
I simply said the scouts aren't about sexual orientation. I would no sooner throw a homosexual kid who stays in the closet out of the scouts as I would any other kid with a problem who joins the scouts.
Unrepentant, proselytizing is another story.
That is exactly what this pressure on the BSA is.
My time in Scouting was too short too(5 years) and mostly for the same reason but I took a lot away from that time.
About 51 years ago here. I’ve still got my Boy Scout Handbook © 1959. A lot of good stuff to know and live by in there. They can’t take that away...yet.
I don't think sexually confused kids were ever being thrown out of the scouts. Gays had been in the scouts for decades just as they had been in the military for decades. They were there existing with a more or less unspoken, Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.
But once activists began demanding that openly gay scouts be allowed in, or allowed to stay in scouts after they "came out", then that's when the scout's policy became an issue on which a stand had to be taken.
Similar developments brought the gay adult scout leader issue to the US Supreme Court, but that one was always more dangerous and more serious that the few in-the-closet gay scouts who participated.
But all this came to a head because activists demanded the openly gay scouts be allowed to be members, not because in-the-closet kids were being pursued and flushed out by any BSA organizations.
