However, Paul told the Washington Post, which carried the original story, the reporting was inaccurate.

“I didn’t use the word citizenship at all this morning,” he said. “Basically what I want to do is to expand the worker visa program, have border security and then as far as how people become citizens, there already is a process for how people become citizens.”

Paul said the “main difference is I wouldn’t have people be forced to go home.”

“You’d just get in line. But you get in the same line everyone is in,” he said.

It's definitely NOT for the Mexican government that they are "bending over," it's for a hoped-for vote!

None will come, of course, illegals aren't here for the work they're here for the benefits, according to a Hispanic businessman of long-standing.

This second generation Hispanic businessman told me right off that he used to be able to hire his fellow Hispanics from other Latin American countries, who were here on legal status, that wanted to work to have a better life for themselves and their families. He said that a few would get green cards, leaving family back at home, live with others in similar situations and work, save and return home to build businesses.

Not so today. He said that when he can hire someone here legally (and those are the ONLY ones he will hire) they bring families including sometimes parents and aunts and uncles, children and their live-in girlfriends and they are already getting government benefits when they begin working for him.

I told him that that is against the law and he agreed and isn't one bit happy about it either as his taxes are paying for this abomination. He said he asked many of them how on earth do they get benefits and was told all they had to do was to show up at a government welfare office and sign up. They even apply for driver's licenses and sign up at the DMV!

I said that also is against the law in KS and MO, so far as I know, but he said that some way it is happening.

So much for Rand Paul, man of the people and TEA Party candidate!!!

Rand Paul wants to legalize illegal immigrants with no word on border security.

False.

Rand Paul: The solution doesn’t have to be amnesty or deportation-a middle ground might be called probation where those who came illegally become legal through a probationary period.

Probationary period leading to.... to..... c’mon you can say it: LEGALIZATION. Also known as AMNESTY.

“those who came illegally become legal” IS amnesty.

You can say whatever you want. Rand Paul said this;

“They would get into the back of the line and get no special privileges to do so,”

Rand is not suggesting citizenship. He is suggesting allowing people who are here a path to a legal working status. He also champions border security, employment enforcement and a bunch of other stuff we support. This approach is a reasonable one. Many here are going to champion the ‘deport or arrest’ approach, but that simply isn’t going to happen. It is not a popular idea, even in most of the states most negatively affected. Texas is a perfect example, they have a much more moderate approach to immigration than Arizona because the political will is not there.

We can continue to ignore all of these problems with the status quo, or we can address them. Frankly getting a good number of these people who can be productive into legal worker status, along with more border enforcement, a modern employment verification system, and more is a reasonable deal.

The fact is, something is going to pass the Democratic Senate and the House leadership is not going to have the will stand just ignore it. Paul’s approach is pretty good. it is better than Rubio and infinitely better than the crap sandwich McCain, Kennedy and Bush tried 6 years ago.

“There is a severe lack of representation for people who do not wish this invasion to become sanctioned.”

We’ve been replaced as constituents. The Gop doesn’t need us anymore to get elected. Lindsey Graham told us that years ago, we should have listened.

“Senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina has said it most bluntly, ‘We’re gonna tell the BIGOTS to SHUT UP’!

Graham was speaking in front of La Raza, a group that openly collaborates with MEChA, RADICAL- RACIST Chicano extremist political organizations that actively seek the removal of all “white Europeans” from the western U.S.”

Are we going to give amnesty to American Citizens who are tax cheats, document forgers, Citizens who operate vehicles without licenses, Citizens who fraudulently obtain government documents and services?

Tim Geithner and Barack Obama.

“Paul said the “main difference is I wouldn’t have people be forced to go home. You’d just get in line. But you get in the same line everyone is in,” he said.”

What it means is...

Paul said the “main difference is I wouldn’t have people be forced to go home, just like the democrats want... the same thing really. They are still here killing people and sucking up American resources that should go to citizens. Real ones. And I claim that is a conservative thing to do. So all you isiots vote for me because I said it was..”

“You’d just get in line. But you get in the same line everyone is in. It screws all the people trying to do it the right way too but hey. What difference does it make?” he really meant.

You are confusing amnesty with citizenship. Paul is promoting amnesty. Other Fabians will pick the ball up and bring citizenship in for the win.

You seem to be defending Paul and criticizing Rubio when they both support paths to citizenship for illegals. Hmmm?

One more thing. If you think this is good/OK/acceptable whatever, YOU are every bit the problem with conservatism today.

We have laws. If you want to ignore them while allowing any of this, Go Democrat and be honest with yourself and the rest of us.

He’s from Kentucky. What is he sticking his nose in this for? His wacky father lives in Texas; that’s his connection?

He should go to Texas for an extended stay and mix in with the good folks there. Maybe he’ll get mocked as a gringo by the priest at Mass, as happened last sunday. maybe he’ll speak with someone who can’t get a particular job for being unable to speak Spanish, or shoved around on line in the store by someone from another country who won’t look him in the eye, or forced to wait in the parking lot drive while the “I am special” family unapologetically hangs around talking to the driver of the car in front of him and his family.

Maybe he’d decide against giving these people the green light to go viral with this behavior.

He’s way out of touch.

Why not deport on contact with law enforcement?

Why not stop enticing with tuition, driver license, or any other benefit?

Why not stop foreigners from voting in municipal elections?

Why not?

We’d be within our right to bar their re-entry after deportation. But we’ll be fair and forgiving and overlook the crime.

The path starts in the home country, not here.

Sounds kind of like the plan I have been posting since 2006.

Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves and pay for the trip.

“Paul said he would want Congress to be involved in certifying that border security has improved sufficiently to open the legalization path”

I listened to Paul on Hannity. He did sound better than what AP reported, but I worry about the part above... how and who in Congress will decide the ‘border is safe’???

Uncle Janet swears it’s safe now, then you see what the border patrol says.

“People are getting their throats slashed at Janet Napolitano’s “secure” border in the Tucson sector. Two dead and one severely wounded just this week. The wounded man was able to flag down some Border Patrol agents after crawling for help. We can’t wait to see how Janet’s team spins this one. Maybe the old “It’s just a sign of how secure the border is.” will work again.

Another Tucson sector station has seen large groups of up to 111 illegal aliens staging at the border and then deftly avoiding all sensors and other surveillance devices. As we warned, it will keep getting worse. Of course, once they all get past us we have ICE to arrest them. No, wait, Janet won’t let ICE do their jobs either. But not to worry, the area where these large groups are congregating is slated to have patrol agents removed next month. That should help the situation.

What this Administration is doing to this country is a travesty.”
